Maybe they are mad? People will sometimes do that. I don't know about a goddess though. Anyone who agree's or tell's you they wont and does in my opinion was really mad or was breaking their word to you. Either way doesn't make it right in my opinion... but some have made me mad enough to want to. That is when I walk away... for good. But not knowing exactly what you are talking about... it is hard to say. Keep in mind... we are not all alike and because one might, doesn't mean all will.

I've never heard of anyone doing this to their sub. I know that I would never do it. The only thing I do to his face is sit on it or slap it, kiss it...nice stuff ya know. ~Lashra

What kind of scars, and what kind of marks please? Are we talking brands, tatoos, cutting, burns... Or just some really hard face slapping?

i don't see the need in scarring/marking the face a marking (tattoo) is suitable for the body (of my slave/sub)... for me that is appropriate.

Thank you all and in response the scars are made with very sharp shoes (stilettos) or sharps put in bottom of shoes. I never wanted them but like when it happens and the act binds me more to the mistress. It's weird, I know

I don't bring it up but I agree they may use that as a rational/their question answered in their mind. OK, once I was talking to my present goddess about another goddess and told her how she wanted to cut my face. Her response was "I will never do that"! She still did.

I'm a huge fan of bruises, just never on my face. I have work and family and non-kinky friends to answer to, and you can only use the "I ran into a door" excuse so many times before they hand you the phone number to a local domestic violence hotline.

Sounds like you haven't had much luck in finding trustworthy partners... you may want to look at what attracts you to this individuals and see if you can start to determine what signs they might be sending out that they can't respect your person and your limits.

Did you ask them why? All of us here can only guess, with the very limited information we have. Only you, and those Dommes, know the particulars of the circumstances. If you are really that clueless about the reasons why something happens, that you don't really want to happen, I think it is very important to ask the only other individuals involved. If you want to prevent recurrence... Dammit there I went sounding snarky again. I like you, that's why I'm telling you straight, dear boy. Ask them for clarification.
