Usually I always console my pets..Tonight I just turned to one of my pets because Mistress herself feels totally down and unappreciated.  He was there for ME with a few kind words. That felt good.

I am still hurting inside but it was  a  slight relief and I appreciate that. Makes me feel that all is not for naught.

Apart from that what I read here, is about a lack of communication. Communication is the key to every relationship, but in Bdsm even more so, so that has the be possible. Yyou have to feel safe enough, to be able to share everything and anything with the one who Dominate's you.

I agree with you there. That is the difficult thing when starting long distance over the internet and not even having phone contact. There was a connection, for me, but I was terrified. Yes, it was an unhealed issue from my past for I still felt if someone was a Mistress they were out to harm me. I shared this with her and told her i knew it was my projection and i felt bad for it.

Also, I had been communicating with her alpha and she had a matter of fact style, so when I had asked the alpha if she ever had doubts or thought she'd be losing a part of herself as she let go into the submitting portion, she said no. I compared myself and felt less than. Also, the alpha basically said to piss or get off the pot. I guess that's when I knew that household was not for me, even if I did like the Mistress. A gentle word, a gentle caress with the accent of that internal Dominance can bring me to my knees faster than any harsh word, cane or punishment. Somehow, total acceptance breaks down my walls of resistance much more than the intellectual discourse or more military form of Dominance. I don't know if that makes sense. Words seem evasive right now.

And the assignment to not talk to Her for a while...
if you want to "kill" a sub or dump them, just say it,
but don't push them in the dark hole of "the unknown."

That's way too easy to "solve" your issues.

Let me just say that she is a very wonderful woman and perhaps she was doing what was best for me since the internet thing was too painful. She had said I needed r/t friends, not to include her, and perhaps like a mother bird was pushing me to find r/t friends. For that I shall always be grateful, as I am for this thread. It has shown me that there is no one right way, no one right Mistress, no one right submissive or slave. [sm=ofcourse.gif]

And LunaVenus, I am sorry you are feeling so down and unappreciated. I am glad you had a pet to offer some consolation. For all it's worth, here's a virtual hug:

Hi Ladies!

I just wanted to ask you if you see your position as a Domme in the light of helping subs/others with healing. Speaking from the understanding that regardless of orientation, we are all here to help each other become better human beings, and this is simply doing your part according to what you've learned/experienced and have embraced as wisdom. Do you see  yourself as having a very important  role in helping others?

Do you interpret a subbie such as myself to be "topping from the bottom" when I offer guidance or counsel to others? (I've lived a very full and blessed life in this regard, and have much to offer people no matter what their orientation might be.)

OR-Is this quite simply all about you, and the needs of others are irrelevant?

Thaks in advance for your input!  :)

I think it would depend on the relationship. I mean if is a play partner then maybe I would not get involved as much in helping with his past ect.  I was not really one to just have play partners when I owned in the past. If it however was someone I wanted as my sub or slave then I feel it is part of the package deal. I am there to help them with their past , present and furture.  For me when I was Mistress. I felt that. my slaves NEEDS came first, then my needs and my wants and then my slaves wants. Helping them heal is a Need not a want so it would come first even before my needs.

A sub, slave, Master or Mistress can reach out and try to help others. The hat we wear is not what makes us able to help. The life we have  lived and learned from it what helps in helping others.

WOW! Thanks for that perspective.

How beautifully put. Again, thank you.

HardToTame -> RE: submissives with unhealed issues- (2/3/2009 2:16:00 AM)

I thought a subs main concern would be his mistresses issues?

FloridaMistresse -> RE: submissives with unhealed issues- (2/3/2009 5:11:52 AM)

I think it totally depends.  There are times I do not want to explain why I am doing what I am doing. It often may even seem wrong, or not the best course, but in the, I knew exactly what I was doing, and why, and the end result was what I desired.
Example: I took the long way around NYC once, now My slave knew a better way or shall I say shorter. However, I knew the lane was closed in he rdirections and that My way was actually faster. I did not feel the need to explain why I did what I did, but My slaves have grown to trust I have purpose and reasons for what I do.
If I want help or guidance I will ask for it. So, for example: if you are good with investing, then I would ask your experise.
If you just consistently wanted to tell Me how to go about things, I would defintely say that is Topping for the bottom and you should just chill.
