Be yourself, be courteous, be civil, have a complete profile and then send an email. If she likes what she reads then she'll respond. If she doesn't feel a compatiblity then she won't.

This isn't any different than anywhere else in life.

Use the search feature please, this subject has been done to death here on these boards and it takes very little effort to search them and find loads of great advice, both from Dommes and from their subs/slaves.

Just be yourself, dear boy. And be patient.

Thank you for saying so. From the other side of the kneel, I will just comment that while I'm not overwhelmed with mail (being on the "wrong" side of 50, and plump), I think I have had two—count them, TWO and ONLY two—submissives write to me and prove by the content of their missive that they actually read my profile before they set fingers to keyboard. (Hint: you can always quick-scan the profile all the way to the bottom and disqualify or qualify your "target" domina before wasting both of your times.)

Most of the messages I get assume that I want a slave, or a LTR/live-in relationship. Most of the first-contact messages I get focus on sexual interests of the sender, or offer me an instant message contact, or an online web-cam "I'll do anything you say, Mistress."

Communication is not rocket science, but no one teaches basic communjication skills any more. Pretend that there are NO photos online (or even set your browser not to load them) and make believe that you are literate.

Most people over 30 can recall when a single photo in an email clogged up the modem, but text still goes whizzing through on the slowest conections. By their words shall ye know them.

Paint yourself in zebra stripes (to show that you aren't just like every other equine out there) and go door to door, possibly in the next town over, asking whoever answers what you can do to make their lives better. Have multiple copies of a resume (not jobs per se, but skills and certs for communication, swimming, flower arranging, CPR) prepared and scented with your favorite aftershave.
