I'm new to the site and still fairly new to this lifestyle. I'm looking to try and find out what makes a good Mistress?

Your profile lists you as a switch. I'm going to assume you're asking how you can be a good Mistress, rather than how you can identify a good Mistress, though the two questions are rather similar..

Just be confident and, most important, be yourself. Don't feel you have to be a bitch all the time. Don't feel you have to think of something to do at every second of every session. If you do find you're stuck for something to do next, you profile says you're curious about foot worship so you can always get your sub to worship your feet until inspiration strikes.

Some things, like whipping and intricate bondage have to be learnt and practised; for most other things, you can just go with the flow but be aware of any safety issues around the activities you participate in.

Most important, don't feel you have to live up to some ideal of what a Mistress is: you are your own person and you dominate in your own unique way. The best submissive for you is somebody who is interested in *you*, not somebody who's only interested in you as a Domme.

a woman who is confident with her body and her sexuality i think

once she has that and portraits that to her male or for that matter female subs that can be very appealing to alot of people

imho i believe She is loving, kind, secure in Herself and confident. She is also a good listener , a good teacher and One who strives to mold or teach Her subs to be the best they can be. She guides them , helps them, protects them and helps them to feel loved and safe. She needs to be strict sometimes and consistent as this is what gives Her credibility, fairness, an openmind and a sense of humour. sexy, beautiful, warm .. well quite frankly i think i am describing GoddezzT` to a letter. It seems to me that a good Mistress is best defined in the context of a relationship, and that a good Mistress for one may not be good for another. If you know yourself, and are true to yourself, I think you stand the best chance of finding a sub who appreciates what it is that you bring.

It depends, everyone is going to have a differing view of what makes for a "good" Mistress. For myself it is someone who is intelligent, confident, independent, patient, compassionate, caring, has a sense of humor, is creative and very at ease with her sexuality. I think a good Mistress cares for her property and take the time to train them properly and gives them guidance. She is also a good listener as well as a speaker and is not afraid to do either.

Pay attention to the needs and desires of your servant, and learn what makes them tick. Make sure your own needs and desires are well addressed too of course, but remember that if your partner isn't getting his/her needs met out of the relationship, he/she can leave you. The relationship should be fulfilling for both of you.

I think it's the combination of a sincere desire (need) to see your male partner suffer for your pleasure combined with an unpredictable, cruel and mischievous streak. That's always worked for me.

A good Domme is one who is confidant and in control of her own life. Someone who can teach just as much as she learns and pushes herself, her submissives and those around her to be a better person. Someone who can take her sexual prowess and use it to bring pleasure to her and her submissive.

(And being able to wield a paddle with menace is always good)
