....now, i'm no fan of American Football, but it has come to my attention that there is some sort of sporting contest or other today. i'd just like to take this opportunity to wish both sides well and i hope that all of you that follow this obscure athletic contest enjoy yourselves......
The Superbowl is one of the few times the USA can all get on the same page. A celebration of what unites you all, as opposed to what divides you. i hope you all have fun

If I could hibernate between February and September, sleeping through all things not football I would be a happy guy.

I didn`t even know it was today.Knew it was near but not when.I`m too busy right now.

Just heard it`s on after 6,so I might see it after work.

I`m not a sport head and never "got it" on why so many are.

Who`s playing?

The day's big football game is already over.  Referee Mike Riley has probably ended Chelsea's title challenge by sending Frank Lampard off for a perfectly legal tackle.  El Nino marked his return to the big time by sticking a brace in the onion bag, bringing the scousers to within two points of the leaders.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Plastic glory-hunters all along the Kings Road are reported to be as sick as parrots.

Bollocks. The day's big game was the North East derby.

Philosophy, I have not watched half of any football game this year.
I love watching the SuperBowl!
It is a big American event, and I always enjoy it.

The pre-game coverage is on about 5-6 hours and then the game!
It is a celebration and it does unite us!
I did not get an invitation to watch it at the White House, but I will enjoy the game!

I especially enjoy looking at the tight asses, oops I meant tight ends and the wide receivers.

Missed it. Didn't realise they kicked off early.  Shame I haven't got "insomnia", eh?  Anyway, I foresee the magpies playing in the fizzy pop next term.  Blame the Cockney Mafia.

Oh dear.  I'm going to miss the unity ritual.  We'll turn on the DVR and do a shopping run while the stores are deserted.

This year, I'm finding that I just don't care.

I don't care much for sports as a general rule, car racing, tennis, golf, soccer, football, baseball, basketball, hockey, whatever -

Once in a while I do see an update about who's ahead but don't pay attention other than that.

I do like to watch the final games though, Stanley Cup, World Series, Superbowl.

For those that don't like it, easy solution, turn the channel.

Funny thing, Rich I do care.
At a time like this, many will enjoy the SuperBowl.
Did you realize that some of the BEST movies ever made were made during the Depression?

...Scarface {the original},Gone With The Wind, Wizard of Oz, King Kong, Frankenstein, Dracula, Animal Crackers, The Thin Man, the list is endless....

People needed to go to the movies during the 1930's.
I am expecting some movie blockbusters in the next couple of years.

The butts are padded, sirsholly :(

Otherwise I might actually watch and enjoy *sigh*

As it is I'm going to probably be doing homework. Or ignoring all homework and playing Fable. I haven't decided yet
