When Davenport puts on a little weight...then runs full speed with his average 260 lbs and hits another 260 lb man running full speed in the opposite direction head first...over and over then I will say he is not a comparative sissy.

PS... he would be smarter though.

Did well at Bolton, that's where Sbragia knows him from - but that was a good 4 years ago. Just seen him on Sky being interviewed - he looks like a right fat knacker (at least 2 stone overweight). Oi Butch, I actually watched the first hour last night....I couldn't sleep so I thought I may as well put it on and see what's what.

To be fair, it ain't that bad a game, but that's coming from someone who can pretty much watch any sport apart from golf.

Had to laugh at the showbiz element - what happened to just playing the game for the love of the game? Has it always been so celebritified?

As for me? I spent "Superbowl Sunday" in a long, loving, marathon session of rope bondage and other delights with my darling Cupcake. Best way I know to celebrate "America's Game".

Right enough, Ben Haim is a black cat after all. He was mad to move to Chelsea under Grant and he's obviously gotten a bit lazy. Mario Melchiot did the same for a lot longer but the side he skippers now is doing alright. And I see you haven't mentioned George Mc Cartney or Anton, that Keano nabbed off us - - not rate them?

It wasn't available on the satellite service at the farm. I was heartbroken.......le' sigh.

I was able to spend that time watching a documentary a friend taped for me on Iran, that I've been wanting to watch and get back to him. Then I watched a movie lent to me by another friend, "The Dark Knight" and now shall speak rudely of the dead. If that was such a dark brooding role it drove Heath Ledge to the edge of the abyss, requiring substancial self medication...........the boy was a wussie. Don't get me wrong, the movie was okay and Heath definitely did a stellar job. I just don't see why it was something to get all weirded out about. So the joker guy was abused and went wacko.

I watched "There Will Be Blood" again on Saturday night and was, again, admiring Daniel Day Lewis's acting. Now THAT was a dark and complex role. I would seriously want to cheer myself up after playing that character.

Ferdinand has done a good job for us - was outstanding yesterday - didn't put a foot wrong. McCartney has been in and out with injuries, but we knew what we were getting with him as we sold him to West Ham. Both decent buys who improved our side no end. The main thing for us is that we're making steady progress, and we have money to spend in the summer.

I have to admit American Football is sometimes more of a spectacle then a sport. A worship of violence, mayhem and testosterone with lots of “Look at me” moments.
