Yeah, that's like most people in Leipzig, next big city near Berlin, where I live, would react to such nonsense, too.

The only Master testing I have ever had involved belts.

Eeek...

Back in the 1990's when I first came out into the public scene, or semi-public scene (it was different then). There were more than a few people who claimed they were trained in "Old European Houses". At first when I heard it I was vastly impressed.

One of the people who mentored me, was a Dutch national, so I asked him about it. Amidst a great amount of laugher (And swearing in Dutch) he informed me that it just didn't exist. That in fact there was no vast deeply underground European training apparatus.

I sort of cringe when I hear these stories, because in fact there is more "formalized" history here in the states post World War II for the Leather or S/M underground than in Europe.

As an aside, if you can find a 30 or 40 year scene veteran they can tell you some interesting stories. They make the "Old European Houses" stories pale in comparison.
