Status: offline 		I am very new so maybe I not jaded. I read all message. I delete 90% immediately because they all look same. "Hi mistress, I like blah blah and I want to serve you" Same message a dozen times a day.

When I receive unique message I respond almost 50% of time. I respond even if I have not any interest. I have sent 7 pages of replies in 7 days.

Become interesting. This is secret.

Do not tell me you are sub and want to serve. I know these facts before I click message, is why you make profile and send message. You MUST make yourself stand out. You MUST become unique.

We read your messages. We just become bored.

Perhaps, but if that was the case then I would suggest he try to do something about correcting it or making it clear that it's a mistake on the part of CM.  This is part of my CM scam radar, personally.  Similar to when I get a message from a man who is listed as being from Istanbul, New York. 


You talk of searching for a long time for this Mistress and yet your age on your profile is 20....I've heard of men here looking for years, 5...7....more.  
 
At the age of 20, even six months can feel like an eternity.  I remember it well. Nowadays, last winter feels like the day before yesterday to me. *sigh*.

Again...perhaps, but given that the op appears to have joined CM only one day ago, he may want to take into consideration that things don't happen overnight.  Of course, given that this is the "instant gradification" generation I see where a day may feel like an eternity.
 
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and I do read messages...including my bulk mail ones when I remember to...but I still stand by my reply.  I still, also, wish him luck.

Status: offline 		The site keeps changing my country back to Canada, I live in Sheffield, England! Not sure how to stop this but will sort it out soon!

I said I have been back on the site for a day yes, however I have been searching for a Mistress on all different sites for years, just thought I would give this one another try! I don't expect to find someone in a day, even if someone messaged me now asking me to meet them I would turn them down, there has to be a connection between us for it to work. I simply asked if people even read messages from male subs anymore.

I understand what CarrieO is saying that I do come across as needey, I am, I'm not going to deny that. And the reason I have not written exactly what I need on my profile is because I'm not that much of an open person. I've had bad experiences in the past. I'm not going to write exactly what I need on my profile for the public to read, if someone wishes to know more about me then I become more open as a connection is established and I know I can trust them.

I didnt suggest that people start sending driving licences or crazy pics as proof. I simply stated that ONE MISTRESS I found had this on her profile, I added that in to my message as I found it funny, not a big deal.

I can assure you I'm not messaging submissives only domme!

Anyway looks like a half serious rant can create turmoil on this site so sorry for even posting. It probably is my fault anyway, I have been told I'm a (insert chosen swear word hear). Thanks to everyone who actually replied to my question and thanks for your tips. A tip that I can offer, howerver inexperienced I am is for people to stop being so serious.

Not sure about that but I see quite a few profiles (at least one a month) from Dommes claiming to be in `Toronto, UK', `Montreal, UK' and so on.  I once saw the unfortunate and confusing `Halifax, UK' on a profile from somebody living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is named after the Halifax in the UK...

I must admit, when I checked Joe's profile, I just assumed that there was a Sheffield in Canada.  I've recently discovered that there's Bristol in Tennessee - and it's also covered in snow.  Isn't that just so eerie?

You'd have thought that those intrepid pioneers who carved out whole new places to inhabit in North America would have been intrepid and pioneering enough to carve out new names for them as well, wouldn't you?

Status: offline 		"Booger" is an odd word, Otters.  I know it means "bogey" - but you can't use it in Beeble's part of the UK to refer to something unpleasant in one's nostrils - where he comes from, that's how they pronounce the word "bugger".

Yeah that happens alot.  A new member joins and says they're from Canada and within a day or so they fix it.  Doesen't mean your a fake.  It would if you still listed as Canada after being on here a month.

The thing is there are of lot of these rants posted.  It makes me think of that scene in Splash where people keep asking Tom Hanks where his girlfriend is.    He gets annoyed and people don't know why.  I found a clip on YouTube.

I rarely answer ads because not that many people match me.  Plus I don't see many new faces in my area.  I guess it's like self filtering.  Maybe I'm too picky for my own good.  How many ads are you other guys answering?

     I answer most - though not always with what the sender wants to hear ...

Actually, I never said he was a fake...what I said was that it would be a "discrepancy for me" and one that I would question.  The op, in a later post, explained the problem.  Simple enough.
 
BTW, there is a Sheffield Ontario.

`Booger' would be more Lancashire than Yorkshire but, yeah, someting like that.

Status: offline 		I could never get that "u" sound quite right.  I had a GF from Nottingham once.  I thought I could do a passable imitation of her accent, but it just used to make her snort in derision.

Show a genuine interest in my person (read the profile properly before sending mail).
Follow guidelines in the profile (once again read the darn profile)

I used to reply to everyone, but the numerous form letters killed my optimism. I still reply, but not as much as I used to. If I can tell that the sender has respectfully read my profile and the mail doesn't read like a form letter, then I'll reply.
