(thought to self:  why all the threads lately addressing "subbies???")

Shoot. Good catch. I didn't notice that, or I wouldn't have replied at all.

Hmm Why?

It's overly familiar and shows lack of politeness and manners.

Oh, I always just thought it was quite affectionate and sweet but I guess not everyone wants affectionate and sweet. I am sure that the OP didnt mean to be impolite though.

No that is not it, not everyone thinks it is affectionate and sweet. See the difference? Glad that you do, however I would not presume that "everyone" thinks the same.

Someone who truly has POWER doesn't have to be a bitch.
Someone who uses FORCE by being a bitch is weak.

This is a question to for the subbies.  Do you like or prefer a dominant/mistress/owner/what have you that is caring?  Or do you just want her to be the typical bitch without care?

Yes, but he has to balance it with strict and use of discipline. This is sort of funny, cause Sir's very old but still in useusername has the word "caring" in it.

i think it would fall onto the dominant Mistress to be herself. if She is in a cranky mood and wants to be a total witch for several days, that is Her right. Also, if She is in a good mood it is perhaps her right to be jovial, kind and caring. Perhaps to answer the question more directly: i look for someone who enjoys ownership and leads with their heart. i definately think a D/s or M/s position to last has to have some rewards, e.g., caring back too for the relationship to last overtime. From my perspective this is done through honest communication and real feelings and listening.

I shall, however, treasure it for use in private with you, dastardly dark, now I know it has connotations for you!

<wanders off practising in different tones of voice "Go to the naughty corner you subbie person you!">

I don't know Mr.SD - with all the snow falling in the UK I am angling for igloo living.  That way, all corners are avoided.

I think it works well for a dom/domina to be strict, cold, and focused on themself during a scene, but to be compassionate towards their play partner whenever a scene is not taking place (such as when going out in public, meeting friends, etc). The tricky thing is finding someone who can maintain that balance, and be truly cruel while dominating but truly compassionate outside of the realm of sexual fantasy.

ThatDamnedPanda,

While I'm not a masochist, the sentiment *is* freakin' hot!

Me neither - I really don't like pain. Hate it, as a matter of fact.

Which actually makes it even hotter.
