Unfortunately, when I laugh it always seems to be at the most inappropriate times.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 5:25:44 AM)

We laugh alot.
We poke fun at friends when we are all together, we have running in jokes and Fox loves being a joker just for the sake of it.
We know how to be serious, we just usually choose not to do it.

Wolfandkitten -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 6:02:31 AM)

lets face it sometimes funny shit happens at the "worst" of times, and if youre human, ya just gotta laugh. kitten and I have two dogs for example....(we are by no means into any beastiality) but in the past our beagle who is a mommas boy 110%, when we are in the throws will suddenly appear beside us lookin at me like .....WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING TO MY MOM?????????.....like I said ...ya just gotta laugh

KyttynTheMynx -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 6:17:27 AM)

We tend to laugh a lot too.  I have gained a new relex though...When something is really painful, I bust out giggling.  Normally, I would scream ouch get the fuck offa me, but since I giggle, he thinks it means more, and eventually I collapse laughing and snorting with him just shaking his head at his silly woman.

 laughing, giggling, joking, kidding, smiling are just as important as soaring into subspace or bending the girl to my will kind of stuff and maybe even more important at times.

...

So.. do you laugh?  how does it play out for you?

Absolutely, and just as you said - laughing, giggling joking, kidding and smiling....being silly in general adds levity and FUN to the enjoyment that's going on.  Without it, there would be a key ingredient missing.

T1981 -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 7:38:45 AM)

My husband still giggles at the time I tried to go "hard" on him by whacking his ass with a paddle during sensasation play and "ordering" him to roll over.

My sides hurt after we were done laughing about that one!

KataNykanen -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 8:19:02 AM)

I never laugh when I'm into some deep serious BDSM.

(Cats do lie, you know.)

Naberius -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 10:54:23 AM)

Ya just gotta laugh. One cannot suppress a natural reaction and besides, if you can't be humorous, my god such a drab boring life you live. Laughter is a great stress reliever, not to mention a good communicative skill if one cannot express through words their feelings for the most outlandish whoopla you're seeing at that moment and time.

beltainefaerie -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 10:55:41 AM)

I don't laugh as often as a sub.  If something funny happens, of course I will, but I'm usually in more of a serious place.  I do, however, laugh as a dominant.  Some people find it disconcerting, but most enjoy my evil little laugh.  Hey, I'm having fun and often their reaction, the fact that I'm driving them crazy, their reaction, all often amuse me.

azropedntied -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 1:08:22 PM)

I just love the line in the Dark Knight "Why so serious "? Ya just gotta take time to live and laugh and enjoy .

CallaFirestormBW -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 1:17:51 PM)

Oh, Baby... I would -die- if there wasn't a good belly-laugh in my life at least once a day... and a "roll on the floor with tears running out of your face and barely able to squeak out a breath' laugh pretty regularly as well. Sometimes, those things coincide with BDSM-related stuff, or poly-related stuff (bigger families definitely give more opportunities to laugh your arse off). So yes, I laugh... and try to bring a little laughter home whenever I can... and I learned years ago to laugh at myself, too -- so even when I'm alone, I have a reason to chuckle.

agirl -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 1:41:02 PM)

The whole situation of me being owned is funny......it's just a springboard for so much comedy; The cat and mouse aspect, my continual indignation at being bested all the time.......

While there's a serious and sober commitment, the way it's played out and applied is utterly full of the most amusing moments. I relish the sense of the ridiculous from being rolled in the snow naked, after being dragged out in nothing but a sheepskin coat and lilac plastic shoes....to him determinedly searching for a layby on a journey to stop and beat my arse because I'm hungover and being beastly.

Living is a serious business.......I like to laugh at it.

I have the Chinese symbol for “silly” tattooed on the back of my neck…

My motto of life is “It’s all about the smiles”… and ‘smiles’ means just that, it’s not code for anything else…

When doing rope suspension / bondage shows I take volunteers from the crowd and nothing makes a person relax more than making them smile.

I like using the term ‘play’ for describing SM interactions, because often to me, that’s exactly what it is. Two adults playing together.

Many ‘scenes’ (I don’t like that word though) have a serious tone/mood to them and I’m quite capable of embracing that mood, but I also consider creating a good ‘scene’ to be fun. Not all fun requires laughter.

Life is about having a good time. I’ve also learned that dealing with responsibilities maturely/responsibly prevents problems and drama and leaves me with more time to enjoy the rest of life… It’s all about the smiles…

MyWorldCT -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 2:28:24 PM)

Luaghter, joy, excitement, and wonder are all part of BDSM.  I like the post (one of the very few), where the knot unties and the ropes fall-off... never had taht happen to me [;)]  I thought I discovered a "new" way... boy was I wrong [:D]

greeneyedreamer -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 3:42:47 PM)

we laugh... we know when it's ok when it's not.. it's just who we are...
I Know if i laugh and he doesn't? it's time not to laugh... simple as that...

SurrenderForMe -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/7/2009 3:45:40 PM)

I try to laugh as much as I can.  Only backfires in bed sometimes.

I have no problem with a scene that is planned to be funny, or if it turns up spontaneously.  If someone can't laugh with me, they can't do anything else with me either.

omega1955sjoy -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/12/2009 9:23:50 AM)

i do many things daily, to get one of those lmao's, actually i did one last week that should of been on u tube, but no one there with a digital and Master was on the webcam but there wasn't much he could do but say was that intense. But trust me it was a real pisser. And i even got hurt in the mean time. Talk about humliation. But still in all it was very funny and i am sure, my munch group will have me reinact this for them next week. But i love to laugh, although there have been many conversations about the subject in our munch group and some of the Master's find it disrespectful during a scene or play. But then again everybodies different aren't they.

I feel that there's a time and place for everything. Having said that...Sometimes funny things just happen. And when they do, I laugh. My little girl and I do laugh a lot. Wherever we are. Often in bed, talking and cuddling. Or somtimes I'll hold her down and tickle her. That's about as close as I come to planning any laughter to happen. It's funnier when things happen to make you laugh that aren't planned. I couldn't be one of those Dom types to walk around all serious and stern all the time. Sometimes you just have to laugh. Life is too short.

How can you be sure that's what it really means?  What if it turns out to be "this space for rent"?

OK, that was my smile for the day....

MasterMoon1978 -> RE: Do you laugh? (2/12/2009 10:19:32 AM)

Laughter is great but there is always a time and a place for it
