If you want a complete absence of marks, I recommend plastic-wrap mummification backed up, if you wish, by a duct tape outer layer. Another approach is to use commercially made soft nylon cuffs. With all due respect, I would not recommend plastic-wrap mummification for a 1st time bondage experience. Plastic wrap seems to be very innocuous, however, you are, effectively, depriving your skin of oxygen, raising your body temperature and it does not have the benefit of quick release if you mind that bondage is something that 'sounds' good but the practice of the same may not jive with your fantasy. Besides the obvious issues of the tendency of 1st timers to wind to tight, there is also the consideration of the removal in which the skin cools very rapidly and one can go into shock by the sudden drop in body temperature. Following it up with a duct-tape wrap just compounds the problems. You can also cut off the circulation with mummification which, in and of itself can leave bruises by bringing the blood to the surface of the skin in areas that you just can't hide. For the 1st timer, if you truly want to go the mummification route, I'd recommend something which is breathable, such as gauze or cheesecloth, both of which can be purchased in bulk quantities from most fabric stores and neither of which will raise your body temperature by being encased. Both allow your skin to breath and are much more flexible than plastic wrap, easier to use and easier to cut away quickly if you find that you get a panic attack from the inability to move. Nylon cuffs are 'okay', but not as good as asylum restraints which are made of fabric, tough and durable and hold nuts pretty well, so should work on a submissive. These can be purchased at most medical supply stores, are very inexpensive, machine washable and the velcro makes for the quickest release of any pair of restraints I, personally, own. Even heavy or excessive pulling will leave little chance of marking. Above all, I would suggest researching the extrodinary variety of options available to you, choose the items which will meet the needs of the scene in which you want to participate and if you do end up getting marks, this is winter, so long sleeves and turtle necks are perfectably acceptable outerwear until you heal up. Have a blast and let us know how it all goes! Celeste
