My rules for my girl are based on what she needs and really wants out of life, respect to me and other authoritive figures, and her well being. Before giving rules, you need to ask yourself the question of what your girl needs the most to be happy. Similar to what someone else said.

There is no set standard of rules, as you get to know your sub and discuss your likes and dislikes, you both can come to a unified conclusion. Having rules is great for discipline and structure, but dont get carried away making rules just to be difficult. Just use common sense, and make sure your sub is agreeable.

First step is to ( as stated above ) figure out what the dynamic is in your relationship. Are you Master/slave, or are you Dom/sub, Understanding her/his limitations is always important. Honestly no true sub is ever going to be 100% perfect to your fantasy, because they are human. So if she/he doesn't like anal, and has a shakey past with it, then you can strike that from the list of things you can make her/him do. If her/his gag reflex is so bad that she/he pukes if she/he gags, unless you have a vomit fetish then you can strike choking her/him with your dick from the list. If she's/he's been abused in the past, you may want to re-think striking her for either play, or punishment. Figure out what she is into, what she is not, what she is willing to do and what she isn't. Not every girl likes corner time, and not every girl prefers to be on her knees infront of you.

Much the same, rules for the sub, are the same as are rules for you, just limitations that are punishable. Once you understand her limitations, you can give her yours. Once you understand where she is coming from then you can begin to set her rules down. What will be and will not be tolorated. Once again this should be set up one by one. Like a child if you lay down a lot of rules all at once, or a whole bunch of tasks for her/ him to do then they will surely forget some of them and you are setting them up to fail.
