Have to admit there is nothing like curling up and reading a good book on a fri. night after working hard all week.
Geeks can be fun, but I prefer the big bad boy look myself. There's somethin so sexy with a guy who has big broad shoulders and is tall and wears a leather jacket, don't understand why.
I took law, and history and english in highschool. Not much else but I loved the classes and the debates. Do I qualify as a geek?
For anyone who loves philosophy Sophie's World is an excellent book, hard to get through because it makes you think so much but it actually has a story line with a very interesting twist at the end.

This thread has become so interesting. Master and i had a long chat last night about what exactly a geek is and what would make a geek sexy. It's funny to google "geek porn" and find out that, in general, it's girls in glasses. As if wearing glasses were enough to show that you're a bit intellectually deviant (which is pretty much how i define the difference between someone who likes to learn and someone who is a geek). Perhaps it's the outward show of rebellion, of willingness not to fit in, a mischevious nature that makes intellectual power something to be used for personal gain in non-traditional ways?
All in all...if i'm right about any bit of this definition, i think the connection between geek and BDSM becomes pretty clear.

I just finished reading that yesterday. My brother has a degree in philosophy and recommended. Of course, he was also trying to get my 13 year old brother to read it...

Honestly I love geeks. Be they subbies, Dommes or Switches, sadists, masochists, or sadomasochists. Though I find myself more capable with the switch and the sadomasochist than the others, perhaps because I am also such.

But yes, someone I can have a conversation with that would most likely confuse the hell out of most people. Someone who can get me into computers and bring back the gamer inside. Someone who is into Math and Physics, and perhaps Engineering.

Being a geek, or being with the geek, is quite fun indeed.

It's a computer game where a few thousand people all play together in a Fantasy setting.

i guess liking world of warcraft (WoW) and being a computer science major kind of pigeon holes me as a geeky sub...

Hooray for geeky subs! [:D] I think of myself as a moderate geek, as in I watch the discovery channel but not star trek, I play video games but not D&D, I wear black framed glasses sometimes but theyre fake. Geeky subs are great because right after you beat their ass in bed they will beat your ass in RPGs!

Hey - I am not a geek! Shrinks the Thottbot window listing her alchemy quests for her Rogue. I don't know where people always seem to get that idea. Shoves her Star Wars DVDs out of the way to grab the 2nd season of Red Dwarf.
