I am right there with ya fergus, depth psychology, archetypes, world mythology,
history, theatre, literature, languages, archeology, biology, geology....way too many interests and not enough time. (Or as one friend would say, "obsessive hobbies") lol

(That be me as an awkward adolescent - glasses, braces and parochial school
dress code.)

Then toss in a rabid, insatiable love of science fiction/fantasy/spy thrillers / mysteries/
ghost stories/ Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Gothic + Industrial music/ forensic psychology /animae + manga/ Heavy Metal art/Renaissance faires/White Wolf Gaming....

I think that the appeal of a geek/nerd/dork person is in the intensity of their passion
for knowledge, analysis and creative synthesis. The quest for True Knowledge is
not unlike the quest for True Love.

Salud!

Well, I am not a computer gamer ...

But I suppose I could go on and on about my 1st edition AD&D characters. Does that turn anyone on?

lol.

Perhaps comparative mythology and the collective unconscious?

Blessed Be sister, how come there are no 'Geeky Dommes" like you in my area?

Sunshine119 -> RE: Geeky Subs (1/21/2006 9:49:40 AM)

All this talk about geeks has definitely made me hot. I'm very geeky (the only channel I tivo is scifi) and have been lucky enough to find a geeky Dom who is deep into history. Perhaps, in all my years of searching, I just didn't realize that those tall, lanky men in glasses were really the hot, hot ones inside. Talk about pressure cookers! Get a geeky Dom together with a geeky Submissive? Whew! Burn the house down!

TypeWriter -> RE: Geeky Subs (1/21/2006 9:55:21 AM)

we do every night =)[8|]

Librarian girls are my favorite entrée. They are prim and proper in mixed company and the bride of Satan in privet…
Damn it… I’m off to the library.

doves -> RE: Geeky Subs (5/3/2006 12:55:09 AM)

i'm a girl geek and damn proud of it.   Most people think i'm weird because i don't own a television .. [i don't care]... i'm addicted to my computer. i'm the one that updates all the hardware and software on it. [i have two computers here networked].
i've been fixing other peoples computers for over five years now and have the first two years of a degree in computers.

It would drive me insane if i were with someone who knew nothing about computers..

Luckily my Master is a total computer and electronics geek aswell. [:)]

Jadeliath -> RE: Geeky Subs (5/3/2006 1:39:54 AM)

I'm definitely a geeky sub.

I like anime, manga, video games, DDR, MBRPGs, Star Wars, cartoons, etc; etc; etc; I'm a weird art major and formerly crazy band geek while I was in highschool! =D

xD The list goes on. I like being geeky though.

Wulfchyld -> RE: Geeky Subs (5/3/2006 1:44:17 AM)

Ooo... any band camp stories?

Jadeliath -> RE: Geeky Subs (5/3/2006 1:45:26 AM)

Band camp stories? Nah. I come from a really small town. We never had band camp, unfortunately.

Tikkiee -> RE: Geeky Subs (5/3/2006 1:47:32 AM)

Well, I would not say that I was a geek, but I am definitly a nerd [&:]

Vendaval -> RE: Geeky Subs (5/3/2006 2:08:18 AM)

heh...sounds like the video for Billy Idol's song, "Cradle of Love" where the
average-Joe-looking-guy answers his door to a girl dressed in prim office attire who then proceeds to throw  off all her clothing, blast his stereo, trash his apartment, and
seduce the lucky fellow.

I like looking for adorable geeky guys in cyber cafe's and chatting them up
about all manner of knowledge, both carnal and otherwise.

Oh, yay, a geek thread!  :)

I've always been geeky - I've worn glasses since junior high; I took German in high school because Spanish wasn't hard enough; I roleplay every chance I get; I was a band geek (and I do have band camp stories, but I'll never tell ;p), and then I was a choir geek.  I play video games and I live for HTML/CSS coding.
Star Trek, not Star Wars.
Marvel, not DC.
Sir says I'm as geeky as it gets, and that's why he loves me.

geek pride!
