Heh. Yes, I would be assuming the uniform was just a symbolic horror, not a literal one. Your husband would have to be really, really ancient to have been personally assaulted or tortured by someone wearing an SS uniform--unless he once ran afoul of the Finnish police!
Well..quite the opposite actually. I am 8 years older than him, even when he says I can look like his younger sister if he had one. Got a lotta heat for that one, but it was mostly envy. ¿ Why is it that when we marry a younger man, people inmediately think he's a gigolo or boytoy and we are some sort of pedophilical perverts ? But when they see men do so, half the times they applaud such things.
Anyways.....I did talk to him. He isn't happy about this, but he admitted he had a bad experience and dislikes uniforms for it, only military/police uniforms. Turns out that the uniforms often worn by some South American police corps officers are very similar to the ones I use, just as in China and such countries, while all I saw was cops wear green camo uniforms like soldiers too, or plain olive green ones, but with the full gear like they were soldiers, only missing a rifle on their hands.
I feel like an idiot now, especially because he did shed a tear and I didn't have the heart to ask anything else for the day, but somehow I think that he was once detained by the police in his country and something bad happened to him and I have been so stupid as to keep picking on a scab on his mind and heart and it has been mostly my fault.
One thing that stresses me out more these days is his family. His cousin will come to the states and he'll be very close to us, as we are now moving to Rio Rancho and he'll be in the same town as their sponsors make them work together, in Albuquerque so his nephews will be here with him, they are three sweet boys but if my husband was so vanilla when I met him, his nephews are altar boys (in fact, they are in their country, literally, as his family is catholic) and I will be their "aunt" in charge of them until their parents arrive. I am a little antsy, cranky and I am making him put anti-sound padding and digital locks in the new home so as to have a private space in the basement, LOL. ¿ Anyone here can give me advice so as to be able to play when you have visits ?
