With a profile as vague and obscure as yours what kind of contacts/responses/people are you seriously thinking you'll draw in?

Uncle Nasty

What is it, exactly, about a vague profile that calls for a rude email, or for that matter, makes it reasonable?
The reality is, one can be vague or specific, but the only way to keep the ill-mannered at bay is to not have a profile.

~fast reply~

"Vague", defined as "not clearly or explicitly stated or expressed," is not a term I would use to describe my profile. Neither is "obscure", which is a synonym of "vague." My profile is quite clear when conveying the simple message that nonsensical quotes are more coherent than other things I had considered writing. I will allow that my supposed 'criteria' for meaningful contact is not described. I seriously think that I will likely get three types of replies: those with a laundry list of the sender's fetishes asking me to indulge (whether or not they read my profile may or may not be obvious), those who obviously cut and paste the same to everyone (usually obvious that no reading took place... see above for example), and people who read my profile and consequently laugh so hard they feel compelled to respond and let me know. Regardless, no person deserves to get a cut and paste spam of initial contact without at least a profile read, and even then shows lack of consideration for the person receiving. The content of my profile made it blatantly obvious that the person messaging me had not afforded me this courtesy. I found this obvious blunder humorous and decided to share. So :P
