Being on the cover of Time is some recognition, but not the same as being on TV. You can make a deal with the interviewer, but if you entertain any questions from the audience for example, every time you say "I can't answer that" people will read "coverup" into it.

Damn shame to live in a world with so many coverups that many people actually expect it.

Almost all crash investigations take up to a year. They sift evidence repeatedly and take things to pieces and such. Standard operating procedure.
