The restaurant I worked at was this french fusion place, which kinda scared me at first but I learned to love. Everyone in the front of the house and in the kitchen were fantastic, but the executive chef was such a hardass. He seriously had a whole chain of command going with him at the top, then his exec-sous chef, then the sous chef, then the saucier...it got kinda ridiculous after a while, which made me greatful to be behind the bar. Of course, then I had to deal with the douche bag bar manager who fancied himself a sommelier, and who would announce himself to the customers in his very best god-voice that he was the sommelier, and if they had any questions about the wine list, that they should ask him.
