When I was growing up, it was made clear to me and my peers that financial parenting ceases the moment we stopped higher education. Too many parents make the mistake of substitituting friendship for good parenting plus there's the whole guilt trip going on with both parents working so they over-indulge their kids financially - provide everything for them and they have no goals to work towards. As for renting/credit issues, credit card companies are falling over themselves to get naive students to sign up for a card.  I never encountered landlord issues, when I was sixteen I co-rented with two friends on the money I made at weekends from working in a hotel changing beds and cleaning the rooms and moving back home was considered a 'failure' on the individual's part. We're raising a bunch of co-dependent people who have been brainwashed into thinking they need life-long caretaking.

A lot of that is financial. I;m 37 and moving out for the first time, having worked since I was 16. It's much more difficult for ayounger person today to pass a credit check for  an apartment or utilities. The fact that most landlords are trying to set rents to equal to 80 percent or more of an average income doesn't help unless you are willing to live in high-crime areas and even then, rents are often unworkable. Throw in the fact that sane and reliable roommates are hard to come by and you see why so many of us would rather not bother. I just spent a month looking and had an alcoholic landlord stalk me and another alcoholic wannabe female roommate attempt to start a relationship with me in the same week.....all over the phone without meeting me. No thanks, I'll live with grandma any day!

some humans have brains but never learnt to use them. It seems to me animals have more sense than alot of people.

HARTFORD, Conn. – A 200-pound pet chimpanzee once seen in TV commercials mauled a woman visiting its owner Monday and cornered a police officer in his cruiser before he shot and killed it, authorities said.
Stamford police Capt. Richard Conklin said the injured woman was hospitalized late Monday in "very serious" condition at Stamford Hospital; her identity was not immediately released. Conklin said she suffered "a tremendous loss of blood" from serious facial injuries.
The 15-year-old chimpanzee's owner and two officers also were hurt, though police said the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
Police said they had no idea why the chimpanzee, named Travis, attacked the woman as she got out of her car to visit the animal's owner, Sandra Herold. Conklin said Herold wrestled with the animal, then ran inside to call 911.

Stories like this really irk me.  The police don't have any idea why "Travis" the chimp attacked the woman?  Are they fucking kidding?  It's a wild animal, not a little hairy person!

Katt Williams might agree.
