i would have thought of it as something corny and trying to be cute, but yea people make mistakes all the time with their profiles but if not than he is one slippery SOB.

and even if your profile reads no men...expect a lot of men especially since you are cute

His next question will be, "do you want to come up and look at my sketches?"... that's another pick up line from wayyyyyy before you were born.

Cali

Naaaahh, it's "etchings".  I used to use it facetiously back in the day (I was doing a lot of drawings and paintings then, so I had an excuse!)

thornhappy, wondering if "etchings" is even older than "sketches"....

All the one-liners chuckles and yes they can be funny. Also what is your sun sign, but Sir didnt ask that, he simply said would you like me to draw up your chart?

I think I remember that pick up line back in the day, whats a nice girl..when i use to frequent bars. People tend to try to be smooth I guess or buy one of those books, if there is one, how to pick up.......

Oh man...now I remember this kid from highschool who got this pocket book of pickup lines, and he'd use 'em all on the upper classmen. We'd just kind of humor him, cause how cute is a freshman asking you if it hurt when you fell from heaven? He was like something from out of sixteen candles!

I thought it was etchings not sketches, but maybe i just watch way too many old movies.

And I never understood that line, because I never knew what etchings were.

Come to think of it, I still don't. But unlike 30 years ago, I now have a google to help me.... be right back...

"Do you believe in angels? Neither did I until a moment ago."

God, there are some bad ones out there. Do any of them ever actually work?

Etchings are a type of print.  You etch a design into lino or perspex, then use ink and a roll press to take the print.

my favourite line is 'if you are what you eat, i want to be you in the morning'

Yes and I have it!  My folks gave me a book when I was younger.  I recall reading it, deciding they were all way too corny and its been on the shelf ever since.

Hmm just checked and its not on the shelf anymore.  Must have binned it a while ago.

I always liked the question, "What's your sign?"

And my standard response:  "Slippery When Wet"

So this may be more like a rant, buuuuut...

I actually got a message from a Dom asking 'What a girl like me was doing at a place like this?' My first and immediate thought was, what kind of stupid question is that? You don't exactly accidentally join a community called Collarme and create a profile geared towards finding yourself a Domme. My second thought was that this guy must be stuck in the fifties, because really? What's a girl like you...? My third thought was how the hell did he get through my email filter. That's when I realised that though he had a female listing, his photograph was of a guy, and he identifies as male.

WTF?   < ~~~~ over react (IMHO)

/rant

Perfect example of how all of us react first, instead of thinking about what we read and then appropriately responding if wanted.

Perfect example of preconditioned judgmental commentary that rolls around in our heads.

Well, der. First I was annoyed, now I'm amused, and I thought I'd share the amusement. I certainly didn't repond this way to him.

But some of us here do not need to hide behind profiles of the opposite gender and do have good original stuff to say!

A male? Inconceivable!

Sometimes trolling the rude man-haters is good for a lol or two. Gotta roll with it, or get rolled

You keep on saying that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Yeah, trolls can be good for the lolz. I think he managed to hit one of my last nerve that particular day. Today, it's just funny.
