What is pork to you is investment to another.

Ok....Let's do it your way : We'll hand over mo money to Vikram Pandit so he can go purchase a couple of banks in China and send ten percent to the Cayman Islands.

Besides, what's wrong with improving the public infrastructures in this country? Investment, vision in the future, and some forward planning, would have done much to prevent the mess we're in. It's going to be painful to get over the Bush legacy, so the whining from the growing-pains won't stop any time soon.

Giving money for a construction project isn't creating 21st century high tech jobs.  That's what the republicans mean when they attack a job that's only going to last a year an a half.  Its not worth 800billion.

Keith Olbermann shouted the praises of the Obama/Pelosi spending program with the good news that the federal government will replace the Osage River Bridge near Tusccumbia, in Central Missouri....the first "shovel ready" project to be built with stimulus funds.

Three cheers for infrastucture spending to put us all back to work!  But wait...  the bridge is apparently scheduled for completion in 2010...good news for the workers knowing they will have "work" for a little more than a year and a half.  And thus you see the future.  The democrat Congress has aqpproved the spending of a borrowed $800 billion to create "temporary" work for people, satisfy the "wishlist" of politicians...and not create any lasting "job".  The farce of a Stimulus Package continues to unfurl.

At least it's a bridge to somewhere.
