I don't go for bathroom control but for those that do, the whole thing is the control. Being watched pee is a managed amount of control. Unless you have major problems, you can handle a small wait and arrange yourself attractively while sitting.

But bowel movements aren't so easy to manage. Sometimes you just have to run. You can easily have them too loose and unpleasant or somewhat constipated and equally unpleasant. Plus they smell bad and we don't like to smell bad.

Status: offline 		I can only answer for me... and as I am not a submissive woman, but don't stress overly much about common societal conceptualizations of what is "polite" and "not polite" to do, be, or say, I may be representative of some of the dichotomy you're seeing, in any case.

For myself, I don't mind leaving the door open when I pee, simply because it's a basically innocuous process, and pee pretty much looks the same from person to person, regardless of race, gender, etc. Sometimes, I don't mind leaving the door open when I'm pooping. Usually, that includes times when I am pretty sure that what I'm doing is going to be fairly innocuous in terms of odor, and fairly generalized in terms of other aspects... not too much work to produce, or too sloppy, etc. I don't want to look or smell like a freak, however, and so, if I suspect that I've eaten something that didn't agree with me, if I'm in a stranger's house (or even a friend's house where I don't visit daily or even weekly), or if I'm uncertain about the household's position on open bathroom doors while doing one's business, I'll close the door out of general decorum, and preference for privacy from strangers' eyes for myself. Sometimes, if I'm just feeling anxious on general principles, for no reason other than gut instinct, I'll also close the door, just because being behind that door gives me some blessed distance from the rest of the human race. There is a lot more that can go "wrong" with poop, as opposed to pee... so it's much more likely that the bathroom door will be closed for stooling, where it might be casually left open during voiding.

Status: offline 		I guess it depends but it might have something to do with farting. It is entirely possible to fart whilst peeing, but most people tend to fart more when they're growing a tail.

I would guess that it's something to do with that lack of control over the execution of the jobbie. If the bowels are fine together with the movements it's okay I guess, but it doesn't always happen like that, does it? Sometimes it takes a bit more effort. Sometimes it takes a lot more effort. Sometimes you think it's too much effort, you feel as if you're giving birth to a baby hippopotamus or that it's never going to come out. Sometimes it gets stuck, and it's there dangling, you're in agony, and only the thought of having to call an ambulance goads you into making a bit more effort. I mean, who would want to watch you acting like a psychotic chimpanzee which has been refused a banana as you sweat, grimace, grabbing hold of the towel rail or toilet roll holder for extra leverage? It's entirely understandable to me if you're feeling at your most vulnerable at that precise moment in time or would want this to be your most private moment.

I feel that there's also a social element here, in that riding the porcelain bus is pretty much a social taboo like death and other taboo subjects and this may be behind the reason to close the door.

Four isn't really a large enough sample of submissive females to make a broad conclusion about all of them.  Personally, I prefer to pee and have bowel movements in private.  However, if he needs something from the bathroom midstream, I'm certainly not gonna stop instantly until he leaves.
