for me subspace is kind of floating. Master's voice sounds very far away. I respond to him, to me it sounds like i'm yelling but he says i get very quiet. After play before he calls me back i tend to lay there with my eyes closed, it's all dark inside and i just breathe deeply and float feeling nothing. He usually calls me back by saying, "come back to your Master now girl" and things like that. afterwards i tend to get very cold and need a big comfy blanket to wrap up in.

Thank you all for the wonderful words. I am *very* new to these experiences, and I had heard some people talk about subspace before. I think my Dom is gradually getting me there, some of your descriptions of "floating" and the like are able to perfectly describe how I am feeling with Him. W/we are very limited on space at the moment, and He has not had the opportunity to push me as far as He would like. Here's hoping that I can feel some of the amazing experiences you all have. Again, many thanks.

In my experience/observation, my favorite has been when subspace is a beautiful place where a sub/slave's mind regresses back to innocence... At other times, it has been a place where he goes to be able to submit deeply without further resistance, but not as much a loss of who he is and where he is at that moment. M

for me sub space is where there is no act of will involved, i have made the decision to turn over my life and my will to the care of the other and then all other thought processes are suspended. my mind tends to be comforted by the darkness and held in a place where i need to have some form stimulous on the body as well as the mind.

if i have a blindfold on which really helps me let go i tend to see bursts of colour in the darkness also as my neuro pathways seem to be rewired, therefore as the body registers pain the brain is seeing coloured explosions, if i am required to have my eyes open as once my eyes had been soaked in my own blood which was taken from a cannula and run down my face into my eyes, the room and everything in it was distanced from me by the smoky greyness through the blood filters.

i do get a bit vulnerable when i get back as i need to be reassured that i was a good puppy and mistress has been please, if not it can become a bit like i must have been naughty and ran away from something that i was supposed to be experiencing.

i know other peoples dom/mes take a lot of care with them rather than my experience which was right you can rest there before tidying up. not the same thing of course but subspace is still most definitely the destination i wish to go for my hols anytime

I feel warm, peaceful, calm, and something I very rarely am - totally relaxed. Pain doesn't hurt as much, but I feel touch more intensely. Colors are brighter and more intense.

Pain, bondage, etc. aren't what get me there.The way to get me there is to take full control over my actions to the point of micro-management, because for me, sub-space is like something that's bottled up inside - it's always there, I just need a good dom to take out the cork.

I'm luckier than many subs here. I feel tired after, but in general I'm in a very good mood after it's calmed down some.

Like many before me have said, subspace is different for the individual. My first experience, I didn't even know what had happened.
When I know I'm pleasing my Master as only I can, I've realized I'm very nearly already to subspace. For me, it's like being so euphoric, He could drain my dry during a vamp-session, killing me, and I'd be ecstatically happy to sacrifice my life for His pleasure.
It is the most apathetic feeling you will ever experience, though. Almost anything He does will pleasure you, make you euphoric. No one I've spoken with about it has ever felt any real pain while in subspace.
For me, so long as I please Him, I don't care what He does to me, so long as He continues to bless me with His precious attention, and I know I'm pleasing Him.
I answer only to Him in that time. The world can be falling apart, and I won't care.
You'll love it once you finally get there.
Don't forget, either, that you can talk you your Master/Dom about subspace, especially if you're interested in reaching that pinnacle.
