I know. I was kind of seeing that a lot of the responses here weren't really answering your question about how to camoflouge *until* you feel like you lost the baby weight. Corsets are hot, but you can't wear them on a daily basis under your clothes. I think the OP was looking for more "day to day" stuff.

anothr option is instead of a full corset but a waist cincher. there are some that are made of fabric and can be worn outside the clothes. or there are some sliming tummy controll garments.

I read that as being something about upsetting beeble and got very confused.

I'd like to apologise in advance if I stare at your, ah, patterns, while I'm talking to you.

Uhm, pet? Is there something you need to tell me? We don't do that, remember? I'm so repressive.

Generally the only pattern you need to be concerned with is black since most often all you're 'staring' at is the inside of a blindfold. I'll find other ways to 'distract' you *smile*

I think it's worth bearing in mind that there's a very fine line between being supportive about a woman's weight and coming across as saying, ``You're wrong to want to be thinner.''

I love those! I have two that I wear both ways, they look so cute over just a white blouse. Good idea Lady P.

For all intents and purposes, you just had your baby.  They say it takes a year or longer to lose the weight.  It also helps if you are nursing.

Your horomones are also still a bit wacky and that keeps the weight in flux.  Give your body some time.

Diet, exercise (yeah, I know) or perhaps a nutrionist will help you.

I lost 90 pounds in 2005 with the help of an excellent nutritionist and I joined a gym across the street from My house.  It takes committment, there are no quick fixes (sorry, I looked!) and it takes time as well.  I have kept that weight off.

Good luck and good luck with the little one!

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Body Image. (2/20/2009 7:52:46 AM)

i don't have any ideas on how to hide the belly/baby fat.

yet as the fashion industry gradually recognizes not every woman is a size 0 to 4, there are clothes out there that don't make you appear frumpy because you added a few pounds from baby fat. there's a way to dress sexy  in the size i'm in including lingerie and other kinky things.

i don't mind dressing sexy however it's also how i feel and present myself too. in my size, i can strut down the street in a short leather skirt, sexy top and boots and still turn heads as i pass by.

Er, yeah.  I need to tell you that I somehow misattributed that text to myself when, in fact, lusciouslips19 wrote it.  I fixed it after I saw your post.

Umm . . .  I fear I'm severely underqualified to comment - but isn't there such a thing as a glamorous corset?

Hell, I don't even know what they're called . . . Basques?

Tsk, they are lingerie and not quite corsets, don't you know anything? ;)
