MsDDom -> RE: The issue of one line emails. (2/23/2009 12:00:44 PM)

i got one the other day to kick some balls "really hard"...made me laugh. i went back and read it again, then laughed some more.

it is annoying but it is not going to ruin my day or surfing...i work on the computer almost 16 hours a day so seeing some of the comical (idiotic) sides of some subs gets my mind off work.  like someone said, give them a one liner back.

I send one-line emails. Usually they say "Nice profile! You have nice photographs" or "It's well written", etc.. What more is there to say to someone I don't know yet?

Hell, that's how we met!

There's a difference between a friendly one-line e-mail and a trolling one-line e-mail. I don't get annoyed by the first kind.

BondageBarbieX -> RE: The issue of one line emails. (2/23/2009 1:30:34 PM)

I get them all the time from Dominants....goes both ways.

VampiresLair -> RE: The issue of one line emails. (2/23/2009 1:34:43 PM)

I get them from men, women, sub and dom. I figure if it is asking to be used or to serve, they havent bothered reading my profile and they prove it quickly, and save me time. If it is a compliment on our photos or a congrats on the wedding, I say thank you. Some people want to jot a quick note to make sure they dont forget to say something, which is fine. Some find a single line easier to cut, paste and mass mail. Its pretty obvious which is which

There must be some kind of way out of here
Said the sissy to the switch
There's too much confusion
And life on this site is being a bitch
Submissive men they write one line
Dominant men want me to serve
Threads on the message boards make no sense
Written by a bunch of pervs

No reason to get excited
The switch she kindly spoke
There are many here with profiles
Whose sex life is but a joke
But you and I we both know that
And this is not our fate
Plus we must not upset the mods now
The hour's getting late

Well all along Collarme
Mistresses kept the view
While the submissives came and went
And PeonforHer popped in too
Well out there in the long distance
Two regular posters did but smile
They read this thread about one liners
And one wrote a poem for the OP's profile

I don't find the one-liners necessarily insulting. I just think that a person should be aware that if they are sending a one-line message, they shouldn't expect a response...at least not one greater then one-line. Fair is fair.

I have a question for, my fellow Dominas.  Are you as sick as I am as getting the famous on line emails, that ask to be used and beaten?  Please forgive me if I go off on a rant here.

I don't know about everyone so I will not speak for others.  I do know that I have made it clear in my journal not to contact me with only one line emails.

I got an email where a sub asked for my attention.  It was a one line email, so I advised him to read my profile and journal again regarding the way I wish to be adressed.  He then sends me a two word email.  I just don't understand are these subs trying to piss me off so that I will play with them.

I wonder if I should put a template letter for these subbmissives to use.  Does anybody else do that?  Does it work?  Please forgive me if I am coming across bitchy, I just don't understand.

Thank you for letting me rant and if you have lasted this long, for hopefully answering and helping me deal with this issue so that I don't go strark raving mad.

Dear MagikMisstress
If i may, if a sub really is interested in You, he will want to take the time to read Your Profile then, have something nice to say about You and Your Profile, using respect for you in his words. Some times it can be hard to know how to step up to the plaint when emailing some one you don’t really know but ,.. Kind respectful words would indicate a true interest. It's not the number of words but, how they are worded that should count. If they can’t be respectful  with an opening,… how can You depend on them to be respectable in any kind of a relationship latter? Therefore just delete them out right,. for they are not even worthily of being acknowledged by You.

When i e-mail a Domme of interest i always end by telling Her to just rattle my chain if and when She wants to respond to me, then leave it at that. If She does respond i will go from there. If She chooses not to respond, then i will respect Her wishes by standing down.

Ladies stay safe!

( One line )

LovingMistress45 -> RE: The issue of one line emails. (2/27/2009 9:50:55 PM)

If someone says hi or hello I usually respond the same back. Kind of giving the person a chance to say more. However, it the one line is a request for oh say ball kicking, queening, trambling, ect I hit delete.

But really as far as getting my attention it needs to have some substance, not a essay maybe, but it at least needs to seem that they read my profile.

MsMillgrove -> RE: The issue of one line emails. (2/28/2009 1:26:56 AM)

I replied to a CM mail one-liner "are you real?"

No idea why I did. No photo, no text in the profile, but I noticed the person lived closeby.

He got the surprise of his life--to be confronted with his fantasy--to meet a real mistress and discover .. much more than he ever bargained for.

He was looking for a kinky bedmate--what he got has left him trembling with his pants around his ankles, falling about like an idiot. Humbled, stuttering and stunned.  What I got was one of the best treats ever--and I continue to snap my finger occcasionally and enjoy proving to him repeatedly what "real" looks and feels like.

Who knew?  it was just luck I guess, but what great Luck it's been.

RichieB -> RE: The issue of one line emails. (2/28/2009 7:18:55 AM)

Fast reply

I just got another one liner... "Are you into ballbusting?"
My reply was "No, I'm into busting butts" No new reply yet.

Sick of them, not at all....  There are so many important things to worry about, that one line emails don't count....   Besides, I send them myself whe sending a compliment or simply saying hello to someone I think is kool.    M

To paraphrase George Carlin: think about how stupid the average person is. Now remember, half the people out there are stupider than that!

TexasMaam -> RE: The issue of one line emails. (3/1/2009 11:09:02 AM)

There are cyber trolls who love to push your buttons.  There are also hackers, both civil service and nefarious in origin,  who want to determine your isp.

Block one liners.  Reply to emails with caution.

MsAlaria -> RE: The issue of one line emails. (3/3/2009 5:51:50 PM)

Honestly depends on my mood.  If its something like "hi mistress, how r u?" I'll block and delete.  If it's someone nearby who says nothing more than good morning or hello, I may answer if I have time.  I take most emails with a grain of salt anyway until I've conversed with them a bit.  And I don't see much wrong with asking "Are you into.....(fill in the blank)".  If I am, I tell them so and read the profile.  If I'm not, I tell them I'm not and leave it at that.  Granted, if someone is truly interested, I expect a well thought out email showing they've read my profile and can spell out three letter words.  But for the most part, I laugh or shake my head and move on to the next.

Sydney6 -> RE: The issue of one line emails. (3/3/2009 8:35:44 PM)

The One who now protects me responded to my one liner (I enjoyed your profile and just wanted to say hi.) which lead to many more emails that were not one liners. As a newbie sub I just wanted to let Her know I enJoyed Her profile since she took the time to make it Her own and it showed. I am happy She didn't take offence to a one liner.

Her sunshine
