I guess we have a different sense of humor!  You have blinkers on with respect to the destruction of our healthcare system in favor of 46 million withhtout healthcare and to hell with the 300,000,000 who do have healthcare..who sacrifice to pay it in so many ways.  Really funny when you have to wait three months for an X-Ray because your doctor thinks you might have TB...or are denied an expensive test even though your doctor appeals..and than you have what they call "an event" in medicine..and you die.  Too funny...

Signed a the largest pork laden spending bill that benefits only big government, that disguises big government failures, partiulcarly at the State level with irresponsible Governors spending money on social agenda's insteat of bridge maintainence, road repar, repair of deteriorating schools, and on and on.  Instead the taxpayes  TAXPAYERS..you know people that work long hours and get to keep some of it after income taxes, sales taxes, property taxes, business taxes..water taxes, and on and on...
And now he wants to tax the "wealthy"..as defined as people earning over $250,000 annually. Well, that may seem like wealth to someone on the left, but I always thought "wealth" was measured in property, you know, valuable things wealthy people accumulate, like six houses, compounds on Cape Cod, $50 million mansions in Santa Barbara, million dollar trust funds for the kids..etc.  Not that many of these people didn't earn this "wealth"..many did...but somehow..making $250,000 a year before taxes, having two kids going to college, and not qualifying for financial aid because you are deemed to be "wealthy"...or fixing a leaky roof, a flooded basement, or donating to local charities just doesn't leave enough to fund those big houses, yachts and visits to Harry Winston.

I also take it you must agree with all my other views on Obama?   Or were you laughing too hard to type?

Ok...I have said in previous posts that I am not afraid to call "bullshit" on politicians I like. And in this case, I have to make the call. While I am in support of allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire, I am far less easy about the lowering of tax incentives for charitable contributions.

He is declaring war on investors, entrepreneurs, small businesses, large corporations, and private-equity and venture-capital funds.

Raising the marginal tax rate on successful earners, capital, dividends, and all the private funds is a function of Obama’s left-wing social vision, and a repudiation of his economic-recovery statements. Ditto for his sweeping government-planning-and-spending program, which will wind up raising federal outlays as a share of GDP to at least 30 percent, if not more, over the next 10 years.

This is nearly double the government-spending low-point reached during the late 1990s by the Gingrich Congress and the Clinton administration. While not quite as high as spending levels in Western Europe, we regrettably will be gaining on this statist-planning approach. Study after study over the past several decades has shown how countries that spend more produce less, while nations that tax less produce more. Obama is doing it wrong on both counts.


And as far as middle-class tax cuts are concerned, Obama’s cap-and-trade program will be a huge across-the-board tax increase on blue-collar workers, including unionized workers. Industrial production is plunging, but new carbon taxes will prevent production from ever recovering. While the country wants more fuel and power, cap-and-trade will deliver less.
