How do you deal with a submissive thast is expierencing sub frenzy? Is there a way to pull them out of this state of mind?

Returning to work on Monday morning and seeing the bills that are due usually does it for me.

Slap 'em upside the head and tell 'em to snap the hell out of it. Anyone who is in a "frenzy" needs immediate medical and/or psychiatric attention. It's just a fancy term to use as an excuse for acting like a nimrod. I don't accept it

i dont think it necessarily makes you a nimrod, some people go overboard because they're excited to try something new. =p
if my Dom hadn't have been sensible, i probably would've gone into something like this myself. =p luckily he was the one in charge and was determined to go at the pace HE thought was best, no matter how much i went "omgz we shud totally do that nooooowww!" =p
i think that's a good way to deal with it.

I kinda like sub frenzy. I think sub frenzy can be destructive if it happens when you're searching for a dom, but if you're in a relationship and experience it it can be fucking fun. I've been in a sub frenzy for about a year now and it fuels the fire. I am so excited to try all kinds of things with this man that I climb the walls some days. Once a week is not enough. Neither is twice, three times, four....
Luckily for me he enjoys this level of constant intensity too. It has spilled over into our "vanilla" lives. It's surreal and very much enjoyed.

see, i can totally agree with this :) haha
i dont think "sub frenzy" is necessarily bad. i think the term carries some negative connotations (plus threads by chicks experiencing what this now refers to going "so i met this guy that i only emailed once and he told me i wasn't a good sub if i didnt' allow him to nail me to the wall and remove my kidneys. so i let him take one -- was that bad?" definitely don't help)
but i dont think there's anything wrong with being enthusiastic :D

I'm not sure what is meant by sub frenzy... I assume its a deep headspace akin to what I could call "cum drunk".

When my pet gets to be that way... I'll say "collapse" and she melts to the floor. Then I usually have to remind her to breath.

True, but can't that happen with anything and it's not called a "frenzy?" That's the difference for me. Anytime someone is exposed to something new, there can be lots of excitement and maybe less restraint than usual. I remember the first time I rode a rollercoaster as a kid. I had been so scared to do it but I did it for my best friend. She wanted me with her. Once I got off that first one, I was hooked and wanted to run to the front of the line and get right back on. That's excitement. It would have been "frenzy" if I HAD done that - run to the front of the line, knocking people over and skipping line to get more, more, more! If I had become a complete numbskull, worried only about getting more of what I wanted right now and to hell with the other people.

That's kind of what I personally envision when people talk about "sub frenzy." Sub "excitement," I could accept. Sub "frenzy" makes me think of this:

Personally when I was in a sub frenzy....I was fortunate to have a lady into me and into playing with me...it was non stop play for months...zoooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmm zoommmmmm =L=

One morning upon waking up with her it struck me...I asked her why we seldom leave the house...she said BECAUSE we play and fook all the time...what a revelation...

PLAY with her =L= enjoy her....she will come outta it...

You have to remember dominats get it and have it as well...they are the ones I would be carefull with...

Enjoy your time with her....

Sub frenzy (for me) = horny.

my one experience with sub frenzy was me being as horny as hell, and wanting to get laid. I have seen similar behaviour in a cat in heat - who wanted some cat - any cat - and that cat could even look like a human - just do it now and do it well and get 'er done!!!!!

A good wack up the side of the head and a reminder to be careful would have done it with me.

Yea, I steer clear of any searching subs that are in a frenzy. That's trouble you don't want to get near.

Ooh, now, I don't know about that.

I've been in a state where I wanted more/more/more, even when it wasn't possible. His patience, discipline and his determination to take us on the course he wanted, not the one I wanted, is what helped me settle down a bit. It helped me kind of feel I was giving over even more control than before by him making me take a deep breath, have patience, step back and accept his wishes.

Patience .. that word sucks sometimes.

If you had someone to guide you, I'd say you weren't searching. I've seen plenty of subs who were searching and were completely out of control. Willing to throw any notion of common sense and safety right out the window. They won't listen to anyone until something really, really bad happens - usually to them and anyone around them.

i agree with you here, definitely =p i don't necessarily like the term too much =p i think you have enthusiastic people, and then you have people who make bad decisions, WHATEVER it is that they're doing. =p but i dont really like the title "sub frenzy"

Yes, there is. The main way is to bring in aspects of life (such as those good ole bills) which the sub doesn't associate with submissiveness. What that is, differs greatly: for example, some subs will swoon when told to clean the house, others will snap up and ask themselves 'why?'.

Before getting someone out of the frenzy, however, it is worth wondering why you want to. If it is because they need to be able to function without the dominant, then it is necessary but it can be a time for a potential owner to sink a sub into loving slavery for which she'll be ever grateful. Always depending, of course, on whether the dom is one of the few who can really cope with a slave.
