Here's a question for you - It seems to me that there are more subs in the world than dommes, putting dommes at a premium. ( Even allowing for multiple subs per domm/domme.) Discuss

Pretty much sums it up, not much to discuss from My POV.

Depends - what do you call a 'sub'?

Someone who has 5 pages worth of limits, requiring a notarized signature and 'blood oath' commitment to honor his/her 'safe-word' who lays down on a feather bed and 'submits' to having a 'dom' "Do ME!"; represents a dominant persona who enjoys, and allows themselves to feel, sensations from the receiving end of the paddle. I think that represents many people posting behind the label of 'submissive'. Under that definition, you're right there are MANY more 'submitting' under those terms than dominants willing to serve them; very vocal, very active, and very dominant. Fun people, great play partners, and handy when you need some 'skill development' work and it happens to serve their sensation requirement.

Don't get hung up on labels; self, or globally applied. Enjoy people, enjoy experiences, and have fun; while keeping an eye out, and an open mind, ready in case you find a person who meets the 'label' of your mental image of submissive or dom - whichever you seek. They may not come in your preconcieved 'ideal' body size, age, color, or even gender. Simply being open to the possibility that there is 'somebody' out there, is not only essential, but may be the only thing you need to have beyond your own self knowledge and confidence to find a partner for a successful relationship. There are enough submissives, and doms to go around who don't identify by sensation. You can find them. It just takes a little time and communicating intercourse to determine if they want to submit (or dominate), to a sensation or a person.

I believe that there are more Dommes (and more Dominant women not into the lifestyle)out there, they just do not get involved in the public eye. So they stay under the radar.

You could say the same thing about dommes. A lot of them don't want to dominate, they just want someone to serve them, while they don't lift a finger.

Absolutely hbs, that goes for dommes of any gender! At least just as prevalent, but a little less visible, because it's tough to be 'tough' or dominant lacking self confidence. The 'Do Me Dom' persona is a little bit easier to spot. Check out the threads with; "I've got my first 'slave' now what do I do?" or similar. They have a short life expectancy on CM. Usually they post one such thread, get killed; only to be reincarnated under a different profile name a bit wiser and now playing the 'gentle', 'sensitive', dom character. They find direct and pragmatic responses abhorrent and would love the opportunity to 'mentor' a newbie through any of their demands, with 'hands-on' learning. Hey, based on the reports read on CM - it works.

A sub, especially female, is given a bit more leeway, mainly because there are many more 'doms' who don't care about the mindset and only seek someone, ANYONE, who gives them a chance to do in real life, what they read about and what they fantasize.

A 'dom' who has a first task for the sub to;  "come back with ideas for things for me to do to you"; may be both submissive AND lazy.
