I'm thinking of posting a thread, & I'm not sure where to put it.

So I'm gonna ask on a coupla relevant threads for feedback, starting with this one . .. .

I try to come up with titles that sorta sum the post, but if there are questions please ask:

"How do you construct & or read profiles?"

Thanks much

Im thinking that although I woke up with the apparent never ending headache because of my neck, that despite that I am very blessed to still be here and FL with my betters the Adored Ones.  It amazes me daily how it all worked out and just how happy I am with my new family.

Im also thinking that after so many years of being recluse and non social that The Woodshed is bringing out the old me and I feel part of a group....it still feels odd but oh so wonderful. So many new friends that are practically within throwing distance at least one a month.

I am also thinking that on the way home when traffic was stopped both way while medicvac landed and took someone post haste to the hospital that they will be okay, from the looks of it is was a one car accident, I sincerly hope the person comes through okay.  It kinda put a damper on the wonderful day and night we had jsut had.

I am thinking, why is someone running a boat motor, on a trailer, on land, when the water is about a mile away... The guy only runs the thing in his backyard, I don't get it...

It just amazes me, he owns a boat, keeps it parked in his yard, and starts it up often. I am just wondering if he has fishing lines over the side?

I find this bizarre too, but perhaps there's method in his madness, Mdr. Would the engine seize up if it wasn't regularly turned over?  Perhaps he's practising his fishing skills on a little pond in his garden in preparation for the high seas

Once he gets it started up, he lets it run a good half hour, no sputtering, no noticeable problems, he just runs the thing in his yard. I'm not sure if he ever moved it? There is a pool nearby, actually there are a few pools nearby, but... oh well, I guess I will just ponder the mystery of the boat in the yard, and the guy who starts it up and lets it run...

But it's been said that the two happiest days in a boater's life is the day one buys it, and the day one sells it.

I'm thinking he does it for much the same reason you should do it for a car that is sitting up. Plus you have to add oil to the gas in many of those engines so if you don't crank it up, everything gets gummed up inside.

I can imagine that happens quite a lot. In London, near to my home, there's a huge brick walled garden in which the homeowner spent several years building his ideal boat. This thing was huge and when he finally got around to doing something with it the walls had to be demolished to get the thing out. I envied him though, I would love to have my own craft and perhaps even live on it.

I was thinking along the same lines and I'm betting there are quite a few people who haven't done that only to find they need to fork out for a new engine turning it into an even more expensive venture than they anticipated.
