Des actually wins the prize, in jail belts and shoelaces are confiscated to prevent suicide. Generally Jailin' is seen in the psych wards of the jail..where they keep those who are "crazy", pending murder trials or have been convicted, or who need to be under watch 24/7. It also serves as a signal to the rest of the prison population that, that person is a "explosive or dangerous" person. It hit the streets as a signal to others that the wearer has been in jail..done time and is a bad mo'fo. Of course it is it is pathetic when  the person wearing their clothes that way would barely qaulify for the juvie correction system..aka elementary school.

Frankly I think they are self defeating idiots. They are claiming to be something they often are not, setting themselves up as targets in certain areas (kinda like wearing Hells' Angels Colors in their or their enemies territory, someone is cruising for worse than a brusing) and ensuring that T.J. Hooker could catch them in a foot race.

I have been tempted however to carry a pocket full of dry peas and a plastic straw, taking aim and shooting at the target. A couple of those to the rear admiral and they may decide those jeans would do them more good higher up.

Poen, you're welcome to use your pea shooter on my teen. I think it would be hilarious. But this is a small semi-rural town, no gangs here so it doesn't matter what colors he wears. Besides, as we say when the subject comes up none of us would drive our kids to a gang war. Here it's all about how they look.

I'm just as tired as seeing the young (and sometimes not-so-young) females wearing their jeans so damn low they need a wax job just to get them zipped up....the three zipper teeth it takes to zip them up.

I'm also tired of seeing muffin top flab bulging out over the tops of the too-tight low-rise jeans and tops that are so tight that they distinctly outline their belly buttons and ride up under their boobs.  For heaven's sake, just go up one size!

At our court house they do TSA like security screening.  The boy in the insanely baggy pants in front of me had to take off his belt, and he had all his court paperwork in his hands...he had a big struggle trying to hold up his pants to get through the x-ray machine.

Regardless of where it started, it's fashion, and half the fun is pissing the oldsters off, plus those baggy pants can hide an erection the size of a puppy.  I don't like it as a style, but they don't much like my style either.  I don't see the need to attach much more meaning to it.

Was leaving work one day, saw a young man walking in front of me, when his pants did a graceful swan dive to the ankles. Laughed my arse off, watching this kid try to be cool pulling his pants up.  Very sexy too.

Of course the next trend will be equally as silly and annoying, so i don't stress over it. (it helps that i have girls. Muffin tops is all i have to look at)

The quickest way to discourage any trend... if for us old people dress in it :)

Glad someone 'splained the prison angle - I always thought the point was to show off your expensive designer undies.  :D

Fast reply:

My ex used to pull His pants up to where they were supossed to be, Tighten His belt, pull them down over His ass again, and then tighten the belt again.  I didn't mind too much when we were at Home, I mean, DAMN the boy had a nice bum!  But out in public, I secretly wished He would trip over His "shorts".  I baught Him clothes once when we were to get our pictures taken together. His pants fit Him PERFECTLY.  His Boxers just barely stuck out.  He looked SO hot in them... But He said they were too tight... Grrr.. lol

If Sweets's Pants fall below His ass, He can't help it.  the boy HAS no ass.  And I sooo Don't get that.

what makes me laugh is when they not only have a belt (loosely tied, usually) but are grabbing their crotch as they walk quickly....
