Hey all!

New male to the site and I am looking into getting my first slave. I need to find one, and since I am totally new to this, I would LOVE some direction. What are the best methods for getting a slave and how should I go about doing it?

Approach your search for a slave in the same way you would when looking for a woman to date. You can't do kink 24/7 so look for compatible hobbies, interests, and life goals as well as compatible kinks. Put your best foot forward and don't get hung up on your idea of the "perfect" slave. It's not rocket science, just good old-fashioned relationship building.

Better to ease into the lifestyle with a submissive and graduate to owning a slave in time when you have a better handle on yourself and things. Who knows you may find the D/s dynamic is what you want and besides which with luck both of you may slide effortless into a 24/7 TPE M/s dynamic naturally. If your new (when you find her) sub is experienced, she is in a good position to teach you too as long as you are open to learning from one in your collar..

For starters, when I saw your nic, I assumed you were a chic....  And since you actually confirmed your real status with your opening two words, maybe you're confused, too?  lol  Seriously, not exactly inspiring the respect you might expect from a prospective slave, ay?
 
But when you start over with a new profile name, perhaps you'll be mindful of how a pendulum swings to the opposite extreme, too, and find the middle ground...?

I would suggest that you need to find the master within yourself before seeking a slave.
And if you don’t understand that, I’ll tell you all the slaves are in aisle 3.

Be someone who deserves one.
Which means: thinking before you speak, always keeping your word no matter how difficult it is, pay attention to her responses, put her needs and well being before your own.

You live in Colorado Springs... so the first step for you, after you determine what kind of Master you are, would be to attend the Celebration of Power munches.  If you don't want to do that, then head north to Denver and go to The Enclave.  The alternative to getting a ready-for-Domming slavegirl is to meet someone in the nilla world and covert them.

Summary - logoff and go into the world.

As a slave I can tell you that I already saw a yellow flag in your post - when you said that you need to find one.  For what?  To do your dishes?  Paint your house?  Seeing statements like that put slaves on alert because it makes it look as if you are not in control of yourself.  A Master who has no control of himself will not be any good at controlling another in such a way that she will get fulfillment from it.

I'm not being snarky.  Perception goes a long way when a slave is looking for a Master.  Yes, I will slave with my whole mind and heart, but only if I know that the Master cares whether or not I am fulfilled in doing so.  If I just want someone to boss me around I can get that at work.  A slave is a beautiful entity - a person willing to put the pleasure of another above her own on an ongoing basis - but she needs to be refreshed for her hard work.

I'll second what's been said already.  Treat finding a submissive or slave just like you would any other situation where you are trying to meet someone new.  Also, dial back your enthusiasm a few notches.  I get that you are very enthusiastic and ready to jump into things right away, but that is often the fastest way to trouble.  Take your time.  Anything worth having is worth waiting for.  Also many subs/slaves don't find rampant desperation much of a turn on.

When i started shopping for one,  I observed there behavior in the cage...some peed when i spoke to them, others tried scratching out of there cage to come to me, and some just gave me that look of "take me home with you, I want you to be my master".  Oh, wait, you are talking of getting a slave, not a dog.  Nevermind me then.

I don't fully agree with the comment by DarkSteven: "Summary - logoff and go into the world". This is simply because I do believe in the value of the internet and forums like this for gaining information and hearing others's experiences and views. Having said this, unless there are compelling reasons for not visiting local munches and getting to know people there, it is healthy and more balanced to use both personal face to face contact as well as the internet. Both have their advantages and values.

Each unto their own but I'm definitely with LadyPact: your profile begs for revision. 
And, as she said, there are a lot of folks who spoke earlier in the thread with excellent advice. 
Right now, your profile appears to suggest you simply want an object, not a relationship.  If that is the correct conclusion for me, as a reader to draw, flesh it out: let your objectification flag fly high and see what you get.  If you are actually looking for a relationship, those priorities you listed needn't be tossed, but I'd recommend augmenting them with something that discusses your acknowledgment of a person being more in your life than just those factors that you note as well as what you have to offer them.

Slaves do not come prepackaged ...they are carefully created  by a caring Dominant who spends a lot of time trying to educate himself first so as not to leave behind a trail of human waste

It is far easier to cause damage than to create a slave

Hey Kana, what's the going all inclusive price for Russian slave girls or slaves from ex USSR territories? Definitely with no connections tot eh Russian mafia, Had to much trouble before with the "family" of a couple of Sicilian sweethearts before.
