Same here, loved Northrend, especially Scholazar Basin and Zul Drak, despite most people complaining about Zul Drak. The Grizzly HIlls is just amazing scenery and I found the quests around that area amusing. Even though I was level 75, almost 76, I was still relatively naive and in awe of the 15/16 year olds who could run rings around me with their indepth knowledge of their characters' abilities.

Damnit, now I'm wanting to play again

Status: offline 		Haha! I got Reality to 'put the disks away' and without my knowledge of where... Of course, I could have tortured the information out of him, but chose not to, it's one of the rare occasions I've opted not to torture him. Hows' that for a display of domly self control -

While I find it much easier to go to spots like STV in the mornings, I think it is because most of the kids are in school then. I have played both horde and alliance and have gotten "ganked" by higher levels much more when I play my horde toons. I think the kids like the idea of a having a good looking toon and tend to play more of the alliance characters. My personal favorite this week was when I was running through STV picking flowers. I saw a little night elf being killed by a couple of gorillas. They had him down to about 10% and there was little doubt he was toast. Being the kind of idiot I can be sometimes, I pulled the gorillas and killed them. I didn't expect him to be gratefull or even respond, I just felt like being nice. Less than 5 minutes later, 2 of his guildmates showed up. They were both level ?? to me, so I can't tell you for sure what their actual level was, but I know they not only killed me, then camped my body to make sure I could not come back. While I have gotten ganked occasionaly while playing alli toons, It is nothing to the amount of times I have seen it on the other side. I have also noticed I get less annoying messages when I am playing on the horde side. Not sure what that means, but it fits with my theory that a lot of them are kids.

Yea, she did. It's on Bleeding Hollow, on the alli side. I can't join it because I already have toons on the horde side of that server.

I don't doubt that the alliance are just as bad, if not more so than horde. One thing that gets my goat is when there's a group and they see a lone person going about their business and despite the fact the person is too low a level for them to gain any honour, they will still kill them for the hell of it. Grr! As for camping bodies, very cowardly and always made a point of going to help someone if that was happening - have also had it done to me on many an occasion. One of the funniest incidents I had on WoW was when I saw a friend of mine head over a mount to start attacking a monster, I was well behind and racing after him, I saw what I thought was horde attacking him, so leapt to his defence, the horde was three levels higher than me and specced with good pvp gear, he killed me effortlessly and then spat on me... turns out he'd been HELPING my friend try to kill the monster! How embarrassing!

While I don't want to go back to WoW, altho I'm fighting temptation and still feeding my addiction by even talking about it (gotta laugh!), has anyone heard of Guild Wars II or Star Wars Old Republic? If so, are you interested in getting them as Reality reckons they are two games that possibly has the potential of knocking WoW off the top slot in that genre.

Status: offline 		i just started playing about a week ago and can see the addiction already. i am not  worried as Sir monitors our time spent playing. the game is incrediably detailed and i am amazed at everything that you can do to personalize your character which adds to the fun for me. Sir has made some macro emotes that allow me to bow, flirt, thank and welcome other players.
i am SisterMercy a night elf priest lvl 14 in Sagarus realm. i love the healing spells that i can cast to keep Sir and his pet cat fighting.  
i am having a blast playing. probably a big part of it is our work life is pretty intense right now and it is a good escape from all of it.

yeah 5 DKS can do a few starting instances together, if they are decent players they can do up to SP without it being any more than a fun challenge... but it is a hero class ;)
Northrend made daily quests that were fun, and the storylines were amazingly well done

Yes I think your right. I was posting under orfunboi back then.

Yea, I don't understand the mentallity, but I try to ignore them and it is on both sides. Most of the time I play I get left alone and I belong to a really good guild which helps.

Yea, it would be and you can't talk to them to explain. I have accidentally sent my pet after the wrong target and gotten killed for it.

My sister and her friends played one of the Star wars ones, but I never really got into it as much. Then my nephew got us all into WOW along with several friends. I haven't played much of anything else since. I thought about trying others, but really don't want to spend the time on it.
 
That said, Bleeding Hollow Horde side really is the best, if you ever want to come back.

When I was living with my daughter and her partner, they got started on it.  Her partner had a very successful business in a specialized field. He got so caught up in it that he lost a $70K contract and eventually got evicted for not paying rent on the insanly huge house he was leasing.  The two of them did nothing but play the game, stopped fixing healthy meals which were the norm, stopped shopping, ignored the kids, ignored financial responsibilities.

I guess it was a wicked case of addiction, but it ended up ruining his reputation for someone that was top in his field.

I have never been interested in RP games, I do good concentrating on pogo games LOL

But sadly I have seen the effects of WOW addiction.  My duaghter now works as a server at a couple of restaurants as her partner cannot get work due to bowing to WOW instead of working on his contracts.

So Im a bit biased due to that.

sholdnt you be anti-addiction then?
I play WoW, regularly, but when something needs to be done in the real world I do it :P

It isnt about the game, its about a serious lack of self control.

I like most of the starting quests, but the one where you had to go kill the prisoner sucked. I just wanted to skip that one, but you can't skip any so I went ahead and killed him. I felt bad though and was very happy when I finally finished and could tell the Lich to kiss my ass .

Status: offline 		Asher thats the problem, both had the lack of control to take care of real life business.

They went from his making up to 500K a year to living off tips and asking me for money, I get 1000 a month, like I can afford it.

they got completly disattached from reality.

BP and poen play it and still manage to stay in real time and take care of things that need to be done.

The case I stated is a sad example how sucked in some can get.

I thought the point was to make you feel bad :P

I rather enjoy playing my DK, Tanking with him is a lot of fun as is dps :D

fair enough Sage, I just get a bit riled when it seems like someone is blaming a  game for personal problems :)
