What I learned at SPLF/Int’l M/s Contest 2010:
I like living in South Florida and am extremely grateful for good weather and great friends to come home to.
Being a boi in Leather and part of a Boys of Leather club means I have brothers all over the nation and that feels like home. I can’t tell you how much that means to me.
People think I’m “cute” and something about being 24 means I don’t look 12 anymore...I still can’t take a compliment.
My little puppy nose is always right. If you smell funny to me, stay away...I’ll bark, even if you can’t hear me when I do.
Politics sucks...but that’s not new.
It’s important to be heard. My feelings around the gay and lesbian community being silenced more and more in the Leather community are not just my own…others share it and are far braver than I in being able to give voice to those fears and feelings.
I still don’t like crowded places.
I have friends who will support me and feel that they can count on me….even if they are new friends. And that’s really cool.
Master Jim is a man of few words and slave Marsha is courageous and honest. That makes them really cool and I should prolly pay more attention to what they have to say about life...not just M/s.
I can get from the hotel to DFW in 10 minutes without traffic, an accident, or a heart attack from any passengers.
I don’t promote myself very well but other people do...another cool thing.
I cannot focus on school work and attend classes at a Leather conference at the same time.
Chicken play happens.
It’s easy to fall into server mode when pouring water at lunch.
Ma’am is protective and possessive. I like it.
Everything is more intense when you can’t breathe and the best place to be when they’re playing with the lights in the dungeon is under a beautiful woman’s ass.
If it’s been a while between cuttings...you bleed a lot more…or at least it seems that way.
It’s always my fault when the yoga mat rips or when Ma’am breaks a nail...no matter where I am or what I did, it is...always.
Sign language can be fun but way too much for me to process in an hour and a half. But I do remember how to sign “more” and I can do that with my eyes closed and my arms wrapped around some pretty thighs :-)
You can't give people guidance when they're not ready to hear it or not interested in changing...no matter how much you care. It's just an exercise in futility.
Always carry a pen and a knife...someone will need them.
I can carry three suit cases, a back pack, and a laptop all at the same time but a luggage cart makes me happy...especially at the airport.
There's a midget that runs around the host hotel pushing random elevator buttons. I will catch him one day and hurt him.
I’m sure there’s more...but I’m still processing.
