OK hands up I admit it.... I am driven to poke and punch in a het relationship.
If the slightest insecurity shows up after I poke then I feel like a puppet being dangled over a parapet.
It's a deep part of my psyche and if the other half isn't emotionally intelligent to deal with it I'm off anyway because you know what? Dangling over an edge like that means I'm released anyway.
Ed to add: my opening gambit wasn't pure irony. The most ironic thing? Irony is never pure irony. It's always based on some degree of reality.

Funny thing is? It can be hard to respond appropriately sometimes, even knowing what is happening.

It wasn't emotional pain that motivated the post. Actually it was an emotional high.. a place from where I felt safe enough to reflect.
