We desire to be enlightened with the opinions of submissives that appreciate this type of creativity from a dominant and especially the critisisms from the submissives, and for what reasons they may believe this manner of expression is not consistent with dominant behavior.

Ever since the first time I ever saw your face
All I want to think of is a thousand million ways
To show that you put me in a very special place
There is nobody like you in the human race
Every second every minute every hour every day
You are all I think of and I really like the way
That you make me feel that is how I want to stay
Every day, week, month, year until I am old and gray
Because you’re the best, you’re the best, and you’re the best
You are the best
But things have not turned out the way I want them to
I am quite ashamed of what I put you through
I did not mean to hurt you quite the opposite is true
I wish you would understand and let me talk to you
I now know better and will do things differently
If it takes forever then that is how will be
I am determined for one more opportunity
Because you are the best thing that ever happened to me
You’re the best thing that ever has happened
You’re the best thing I can imagine
Beyond a doubt there is no comparison
You’re the best thing, you’re the best thing,
And you’re the best thing
You are the best thing that ever will happen to me
You melted down my nerves of steel
I know in time all wounds will heal
Nobody else has your appeal
What went down was a one time deal
If I make a mistake I will pay the price
Be a little more awake and a bit more wise
Everybody says forget you that is their advice
Lightning does not strike in the same place twice?
You’re the best thing that ever has happened
You’re the best thing I can imagine
Beyond a doubt there is no comparison
You’re the best thing, you’re the best thing,
And you’re the best thing
You are the best thing that ever will happen to me

People have different talents.  Talent should be utilized not hidden.  Ones talents are not automatically born of their other personality traits.

I think all that really matters is that your sub will like it.

That is so sweet!  It sound like an apology, but it also sounds like Your sub is very special to You.

Ok so I am not a sub, but as I noted on another thread everyone post everywhere so here is my opinion.  It is lovely and I would think any person would enjoy it.  On the dominant behavior thing, I get a bit tired of some people trying to make every behavior, thought, feeling, action fit into a box of dominant vs submissive.  Feelings are neither dominant nor submissive.  They are human and the last time I checked we are all human no matter what side of the kneel we are on.  If anyone thinks a certain action or way I express myself makes me "less" dominant I don't really care.

Creativity, artistry, imagination; these are talents that can take many forms.  They are not dominant or submissive.  How silly it would be to hide our abilities because we fear what others might think.
Real men don’t do XYZ?  Real women don’t do ABC?
Men and women do what they do.
I’m not about to turn down a meal that R. made because ‘real dominants’ don’t cook!  His dominance, his manhood is not affected in the least.
If he or S. wrote me a poem or song I would love it!

btw, if his manhood is affected by his cooking, he's probably standing way too close to the grill.  Just sayin'

Sorry, writing a song about how you screwed up wouldn't convince me to give you a second chance. Take ownership of the problem, figure out what and why you did what you did, and find a way to change it so you don't ever do it again.

The story that prompted this may be found in my post located at the end of the  "Criminally Violent Sub" thread. This account/screenname was ironically opened a few hours before the last incident described in that final post. Ironic as well is that the thread reappeared after being dead nearly eight months.

Knowing exactly when, where, and how I went wrong, there is absolutely, positively no chance of ever even coming close to being remotely tempted to make those mistakes again, which was close to being every relationship mistake possible, neatly wrapped in one unconvenient bundle. Regardless of who shoulders however much responsibility for the consequences, or who is more to blame for the overall account of what transpired, it was my initial moment of weakness that triggered this chain of events.

For the first time in my life, the concept of being completely faithful in every way, and under any circumstance, with entirety of body and soul to a woman, until death do us part, has finally sunk into my stubborn brain. Somethings are often easier said than done, but the manner in which these events have unfolded are so nearly unpredictable and unbelievable that their shock value has stamped and imprinted the belief in my mind that to appease my strongest desire will require being devoted, taking my lumps, and being in the doghouse for another extended stay, while having no choice but to remain faithful. Someone recommended that my future should not be in writing music, but in writing movie scripts....

It is my hope that she will make the decision that our relationship is indeed worth rebuilding the trust necessary to sustain respect for each other and ourselves, and that genuinely the strongest intentions embedded in my heart are in the best interests of providing her the safety, security, affection, and companionship she wishes for, so that she may achieve the accomplishment of forgiveness for me so that I may once again hear the soothing sound of her voice.

In no form have my expectations been that a song would mend her wounds. Nope, not even close. I have something much more magical in the making. Thank you for allowing me to share.

Oh vey.
She needs alcohol treatment and anger management.
You need to learn how to love yourself.
You both need to learn how to have healthy relationships and set healthy boundaries.
But as long as you're addicted to the drama, you won't make the necessary changes.

After reading the "story" that went along with this, I fail to see why you want to be with her.

After what happened today, I could care less about getting back together with her again as there are suddenly much bigger fish to fry than giving a hoot about what any woman thinks about me. A percussionist that plays drums for a band that has sold over 80 million records has has taken an interest in my project, giving me a much needed boost of self confidence that some of my ideas aren't quite so far fetched after all.

My last post did not adequately explain the reason for this, and believe me, I've wondered that a million times myself, and the only logical reason would be that she is mentally retarded along with some serious psychological issues, such as bi-polar, dissociative identity disorder, psychotic bordering on schizophrenic,  yet, I am her Daddy. A loving Father would not ever turn his back on his favorite little girl no matter how many times she burns his house down.
