Status: offline 		I have a question concerning emails. This isnt a flame question or anything. I was wondering why it seems that some of the Dominants on here email you and immediately begin asking sexual questions. Is it that hard to try to get to know a person first before worrying about the sexual side? I would like to know the best way to respond to those types of emails. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The best way to respond to those types of emails.... hit delete and forget about them.

For some it appears to be just sex oriented whilst others are looking for a D/s 'relationship' of which sex is only a part and the important thing is the person. They are obviously the former, you obviously (From your question) the latter.

You seem to know what you are looking for, stick to it and don't waste your time on mails that are so blatently not it.

Status: offline 		for security reasons.. i recommend you update your profile and list your requirements , guidlines and rules of introduction that you will be happy to respond to.

State clearly you will not accept sex talk on first communications..

this way your setting and making your rules quite clear..

Status: offline 		Actually, a Domina friend of mine wrote my profile. She knows me very well as She is my best friend in real life. She made it certain to describe me and what I was seeking. And the mailers don't seem to post the sexual aspects until after I have responded to them and in some cases the initial email was very intelligent and well written. I understand that for some the sexual side is very important and I think that it should be addressed at some point, just not in the first few times of chatting.

Ah now that is slightly diffrent than 'immediatly' launching into sex talk. Have you tried saying what you just said there, namely "I understand that for some the sexual side is very important and I think that it should be addressed at some point, just not in the first few times of chatting."?

If they are reasonable rational adults who may have a chance of being what you are looking for then they shouldn't have a problem respecting that. If you gat a negative reaction then you know to halt the conversation, say goodbye and move on.

My comment simply meant that at times if one uses the search option, they can often find a new way to word their question or responses from a myriad of people to their question, we have as late had many many threads about emails and email responses--and you are right, it was thoughtless on My part--

Sad as it might sound, they're out there right now, hitting the refresh button, waiting for the next new woman to join the site so that they can try to be the first one to send her a chat request or a mail. Yes, they're mostly men. The membership of this site is overwhelmingly male too. So is the general population of the internet (around 70% male).

As someone else suggested, just delete them.

Status: offline 		Come on. If you make a post in a public forum, people are free to respond to it--as free as you are to post in the first place. If you don't want to take the risk that someone might say something you don't like, don't post in a public forum.

You also have to be aware that there have been dozens and dozens of threads like this, and regular users sometimes get impatient. Perhaps he could have stated his point with a little more forbearance. But you're hardly the first person to have asked this question. You're on an anonymous internet sex site. Some people are going to be crass.
