Is there any more doubt that there is no practical change in the status quo with this administration?

Conversion to socialism, nationalization of industries, and 100% public union employment are the stated agenda; but no change in the propaganda machine.

No defense from anyone here - only confirmation that this is what EVERY administration has done. It's fortunate for this Administration's blind supporters to have that to point to, because without that comparison they'd have to see the emperor has no clothes. Just once it would be nice to see, instead of a Bush comparison, a response to how nothing has changed.

It won't happen, and I no longer will ask for it, because this Administration's advocates obviously have a deadly allergy to answering questions.
Another rant by someone that professes to be in the middle but is totally blinded by his far right idealogy

Proving the point made; a prototypical response from a person coming to the debate - unarmed.

For the record; I am, and always have represented myself religiously, philosophically, and politically; a hard core devout Orthodox Pragmatist.

why did the democrats dominate a rookie?
other then his skin color would a rookie like him have been nominated for any other reason?

I remember what NYC went through when mayor dinkons won over rudy.  The reasons for Dinkons support from many was very similar to that of  Obamas.  4 years later Dinkons lost in an election where democrats outnumber republicans something like 3 to 1.

I saw the question: "when the outsourced jobs will come back?"  Obama gave some nonsense answer about building solar panels in US. He is a rookie, he does not have deep understanding about most problems. Let him grow a little.

i wonder if chairman made some Obama campaign donations would things have gone for them as well as it did for AIG?? Remember AIG gave Obama and Dodd all that campaign cash ;)

even look up joseph cassano

Pin AIG woes on Brooklyn boy: Joseph Cassano walked away with $315 million while company staggered
Tuesday, March 17th 2009, 9:18 AM
Before he was finally fired last March, Cassano pocketed $280 million in cash and an additional $34 million in bonuses. Under a "retirement" agreement marked "confidential," Cassano also got a $1 million-a-month "consulting fee."

http://www.courant.com/news/politics/hc-chris-dodd-email-donations-0330,0,7052877.story

The executives were reportedly asked to write checks for $2,100 from themselves and their spouses, and to send them to Mr. Dodd's campaign. The Times said the executives were, in turn, supposed to pass the message down the line to senior members of their management teams.

Dodd's relationship with AIG has come under fire lately following his admission that he had agreed to a loophole in the February stimulus bill that paved the way for AIG to pay some $165 million in so-called retention bonuses.

Those bonuses, along with others paid by the company, have come under sharp attack in Washington and Hartford by lawmakers who argue that companies receiving infusions of federal bailout money should not be paying bonuses.

Hold on a minute Merc....President Obama did not direct that the chairman step down,he merely made it a condition of continued bailout money. If he hadn't,in all probability we would be reading one of your "rewarding failure"post's.

They don't want to talk about Obama, they would rather chat about Bush, Palin or Rush or anything else. They want to wait untl Obama does something good to show us this change he kept going on about. I wonder how long they will wait?

Just getting back to the OP's topic: how does this compare to Bush only giving speeches in front of military audiances, whom he could simply tell to shut up and stand at attention? It's too bad that we couldn't bring Bush back for an evening, and have him and President Obama answer the same questions...

Now THAT would be entertaining... and enlightening.

And Blowbama doesnt screen his audiences and pick sites where he wont be interrupted constantly? Why doesnt he give a speech WITH a military audience, see how he does there...

Bush Blowbama debate...with or without teleprompters?

I think he might fare well with that audience given that he apparently had the support of deployed troops in the presidential election by a ratio of 6:1.

Edit: "He" being Obama, that is.

slvemike4u -> RE: Obamas fake questions??? hope and change up in smoke ;) (4/4/2009 8:15:27 AM)

I think the 2 of you have allowed your partisanship to cloud your judgement.Bush was a disaster every time he opened his mouth. The man never met an idea he could wrap his head around without Cheney or Rove explaining it to him...

Sanity -> RE: Obamas fake questions??? hope and change up in smoke ;) (4/4/2009 8:20:51 AM)

Try again, it's Barack Obama who is notorious for his over reliance on teleprompters.

Bush received standing ovations for his speeches, especially after 9/11 - and he did very well speaking off the cuff at many events all around the world.

Obama's a joke, he sounds like he's either on something or like he's coming down whenever he strays away from the Teleprompter-In-Chief...

That's what makes all these attacks against Bush so hilarious, Obama can't speak without his teleprompter. This fact has been widely acknowledged!

I like how you very carefully chose your words "had the support of" to lead someone to think their votes were 6:1. You learned well from the liberal media.

slvemike4u -> RE: Obamas fake questions??? hope and change up in smoke ;) (4/4/2009 8:25:26 AM)

How would you explain a 6: 1 ratio Cruel?
Sanity any American President would have received standing ovations post 9/11 all one needed to do was pledge to get those responsible...cue thunderous applause.........oh wait he didn't accomplish that....did he?

Sanity -> RE: Obamas fake questions??? hope and change up in smoke ;) (4/4/2009 8:35:42 AM)

Bush took real questions from real journalists, even those who were antagonistic towards him.

Obama on the other hand, not so much... hence the title of this thread.
