Well, I have a few different perspectives on this issue.

1.  Kneeling is something that should be done whenever and wherever it is required of you by your dominant, so the surface you kneel on should be unimportant.
2.  Placing pillows for the girls to kneel on is something that would be advisable in locations where she is likely to be on a regular basis.  Showing a little civility goes a long way, plus, it saves her strength for those times when she does not have one.

Ok, so I've stuck my foot deeply into my mouth....

I've convinced Sir that the way to go is hardwood and tile throughout the house. But now I've got to thinking...
It is ME who is going to have to be kneeling and sitting on all that hardwood and tile! Do I invest in a good set of knee pads, throw pillows, resign myself to perpetual agony??? Not to mention that when we host parties my pain will be shared by many others.

One of those situations where I spoke before I fully engaged my brain. So what do all of you tile and hardwood lovers do?

Use softly carpeted hotel rooms and then let somebody else clean up the mess....

Only if you don't mind her being unable to walk afterwards. Which means you'll be doing all the cleaning, cooking etc while driving her to and from physical therapy.

The first thing that comes to mine is a padded mat, like you would find in a fitness store, would help you when you will but playing with your Master in one area // As for moving around knee pad would be a bit unpractical as you would have to take them on and off as you moved from one area to the next and having them on all the time would not look nice

You could just suffer the pain of the floor as you are moved about the house and your Master can simple but the mat on your back to move it about the house // It also means if you drop it you wont have it for when you stop =3

You can find lots of doggie cushions at Wal Mart. I found some that felt like cashmere. You can get them in any size so some them are large enough to curl into and sleep. How about the Papazan chair cushions? They are quite large and soft too.

Oh, sure, let’s not worry about arthritic joints, poor circulation leading to blood clots, the inability to stand up because your knees have locked,  or in my case, right sided weakness that simply gets worse as my limbs get fatigued.  You try kneeling your bony knees on a hard surface for 30 minutes, then come back and say the surface isn’t important!  Until then, I’m not going to take you seriously.
Do you want compliance and longevity?  Or do you want someone to say fuck it!  and get off her knees to walk out the door?
