When I joined in 2005 I used MistressOfGa. I used that nickname until January of this year, when I decided to start using MoGa, which I had created in 2008. I created it mainly to keep MichaelOfGa from snatching it up lol <Isn't that awful?> But I have always been called MoGa on CM. With both ID's.

I kept my original screen name, bipolarber, on here for almost five years, but then decided to change it a couple of months before the election. It became difficult to keep it, since I began getting threatening email from other, more conservative, members because of some of my opinions about the election, and especially about all the GOP fuckups.

So I left, and didn't bother to come back until things had settled down. Maybe, with luck, I'll be able to keep this one until the next presidential circus.

I've had no reason to change my screen name, thank goodness.

I once discussed this subject to a friend of mine who explained many reasons why people change their names on their profiles, some for stalking reasons and some whose accounts might have been hacked or gone from this site. I can see why people do this.

This is my original name and has been for quite some time.

This one is the second username / profile for me; the first was poetgrrl, which I had for about a year, but I deleted in a fit of romantic pique -- don't even remember why now . . . . . lol . . .. Which is fine as it wasn't 'wearing' well . . . . .

I wanted a screen name that featured my actual first name (yep, Kia) & I was looking for something appropriately 'dom'ly' but creative & distinct & someone in my social circle tossed out the Demon thing one day, & voila . .. . . I'm very happy to have figured out this persona of 'the Demon, Kia' & it was the process of having a CM profile that was part of figuring that all out . . . . Yay, CM!

Anyways, I like having separate profiles for my 'dom' self, my 'sub' self, & 'switch' self in part because I've noticed that they get cruised & approached & so on by somewhat different segments of the population . . . . . . Tho' currently I've got the other two hidden for the time being . . . lol . . . . Did I mention that I love CM, great site, great interface . . . . .

Sometimes a Dom orders a sub to change her screen name to show ownership and then with a change in Dom another change is necessary.

never...it's almost the same as my chat name, so helps when wanting to talk offsite...too manydifferent screen names confuse me. Also - I like my name & I think it's gives a small idea about me.

I changed it once because even though my picture was obviously male, my native american name sounded female, and looked female so I was getting a lot of male subs/slaves contacting me.
I decided to modify it and use part of my native name and part of my real name, which also became my pen name.
I made a mistake once and told a sub that I trusted her enough to give her my password. Within 2 days she DELETED my account.
Thankfully I was able to get it restarted using the same name. So even though I have only had two different names this is the third incarnation. All and all I have been here about 8 years.

Once. Collarme had some glitch that left a lot of people unable to post. Since I'm a forum addict, I found it easier to open a new profile then wait till they fixed it. Good thing, too, took them 3 months.

Four or five for me. A couple were due to the old email bug (the account just stoped sending and/or recieving mail--that used to happen a lot on collarme). A couple were due to some very presistent and distressing stalkers: the kind that no matter how many times you tell them no and block them they create a new profile and rewrite you. That sort of aggressiveness gives me a very bad case of Schrodinger's Rapist. I'll probably abandon this name at some point too, particularly if it happens again. I really don't like being hounded.

I was Aileen68 and deleted that account during a personal freak out moment.
Returned as Aileen1968...
I now also have a couples profile which he basically uses. ShoreBound149.

I changed mine once.  It used to be crazyredhead1957 but it sounded creepy and negative and I like the one I have now better.

I've changed mine once, and the info is in my sig line.

the reasoning behind it is, lighthearted was something I chose.  peach is the nickname he gave me, and I wanted a nic that reflected more of him and less of me.
