Hehehehe.  That's not what I meant, Mike, but ya'll have your fun keeping her in the spotlight, making her "the victim of vicious personal attacks on her family."  You're helping her raise money for '12.

The Democratic party's dream for 2010!  I mean, yeah, we're going to gain seats in the Senate and House anyway (for the third time running),

Sorry.  I believe you to be wrong.

I'll take a bet on which party gains seats in the next mid-term election.

It won't be the Democrats (not that I particularly care if it's the Republicans, either, though).

I am not a liberal, so please stop painting her as my nightmare.  By far, I am more embarrassed by her supporters than worried about her political potential.  I am embarrassed that there actually are conservatives out there who ARE stupid enough to buy what a grifter is selling.  It’s no coincidence that 90% of her defenders top out at a HS diploma.  Stupid buys what stupid sells. It also is no coincidence that conservatives with advanced educations bailed on McCain over her and her alone.

I’m not trashing her legitimate dysfunctional family.  I’m trashing people like YOU, for your collective brain farts. For your continuous justifying of the unjustifiable.  For your outright celebration of mediocracy and your firm belief the next president should be capable of bowling a 260. For no greater reason than she wears a team jacket the same color as yours.

I do find it rather interesting that when she makes the news nowadays, that attention is still generated by drafting John McCain’s presidential campaign. She sure as hell isn’t making the news on account of any breakthroughs or significant accomplishments in state-level governance. She is not showing the rest of the population outside of Alaska that she is focused on actually governing Alaska.  The only thing the lower 49 sees every time she makes the news is dysfunction. And I think that picture is pretty accurate.

And I'm not an ignorant fundie, so maybe stop painting her as my dream?  As a veep nominee in an election that needed a hail mary for the conservative team, I thought she was a good play.  McCain however, fumbled very badly, and it was game over.  Spin the statistics any way you want, Obama didn't win in a landslide, and he is vulnerable to being thrown out on his ear in four years.  A lot can happen between now and then.

If the Reps choose either Palin or Rudy for 12, they are sunk. I investigated Rudy enough this last year to know he is not the answer.

I actually feel bad for Palin's brood and the boy, they didn't make the choice to put themselves in the spotlight. The sociopathic twit with the puffy hair and rectangular glasses, did that for them.

A perfect example of why teens shouldn't have babies, shouldn't get married. They are not sufficiently mature to make good decisions.

She broke up with him and he's still in love. Happens in high schools all over the nation all the time.

But I'm glad that he's being an attentive father.

I agree that normally, this would be none of anyone's business....but, prior to preaching family values...better take a look in your own closet before you peek in anyone else's. Palin is a non-threat...she's had her 15 minutes of fame and off the stage she goes.
I feel bad for both Palin's daughter and for the young man, both by far too young for the attention and for parenting. I would bet, this could have happened to almost anyone of us....less the attention from the Gov.'s run for V.P.
Heretic, you are correct, many things could happen in 4 years and in the 2 prior to the Congressional elections, if the Democrats can hold the house and senate it will indeed buck the recent trends. Personally, I have developed a "throw the bums out" mentality when it comes to the congress in general and even in my liberal dementia, I am slowly becoming a term limits fan although it will not happen in my lifetime!

Palin's family life is a trainwreck that brings her nothing but disastrous PR: how unfair! Each time her name appears in the media it's linked to some sad and sordid family business: this is because the media refuses to give her special treatment and ignore the trainwreck, which is further proof of the "GOTCHA!" liberal media bias. Bastards!

You (collectively) have Sarah Palin, we (Australia collectively) have Pauline Hanson.....tis sad these are both women as I would like to see many more intelligent women in politics, methinks the countries would be so much better off.
