"Loser gay guy rejected by the gay community". Many of the "transgender" types in SF are gay guys trying to get laid, but don't meet the "hunk" standards of the SF gay community.

Transgender....................................someone who was born into the wrong body Transexual......................................someone who accepts that they are male/female, but chooses to wear clothes of the opposite gender on a full time basis.

I think it would be a guilty pleasure and cool as H^ll, at the same time thinking that the mind and body do not match. They have the potential to understand both the male and female perspective. Just my opinion though.... ~mouse~

transgender and transexual is not the same thing so linking them together in a poll is not very productive. What do I think when I hear either term??? I think they are a person first and foremost and if they are a nice person then I'd like to get to know them, if they are an uptight, chip on the shoulder, angry individual then I want nothing to do with them Just like any other orientation, creed, race or breed.

The term transgender annoys me somewhat, simply because the word gender is a grammaticle term, and was never intended to describe physical attributes. The secret is out now, I'm a closet language nerd. Joseff

The issue for Me is more, "what do you think when someone asks the question..what do you think..." I think-----"they, the questioner has issues" and that's not someone destined for My circle of friends.

I'm attracted to persons of complex gender. I've never felt comfortable in the 'hard masculine' / 'hard feminine' dichotomy, I've always existed in between . . . . Discovering the notion of intergendered has really helped me find a more comfortable fit in the universe . ... . As for the one 'twue' use of the word 'gender' -- language is as fluid & changing as the people who use it . . . . . . Language is not a cage (unless, of course, one wants to be encaged . . . . . )
