Hello A/all,

Sometime back there was a question about vaginal penetration as a part of female dominant sex play. The question was more geared to whether or not mistresses found it important; however, it seemed to spawn a discussion of whether "penetration" was a dominant act.

With that in mind, I'd like to propose a new term for your consideration... envelop or envelopment. This has been a stratagem for conquest since Hannibal. I recall a Cheech and Chong skit (T.W.A.T Tactical Women's Assault Team) that illustrates my point. In this skit, the vagina "beats" the penis.

Rather than say that, "He penetrated her." We could say, "She enveloped him." I realize the truth that the mistress is the one commiting the dominant act. I just think that we need a different word to express it.

Well, dreamerdreaming, when I say "I fucked him", usually there is a strap-on involved but yeah, that would work for the more standard forms as well. :>

While I'm all for women making semantics reflect the role they took in sex, I'm specifically turned off by the term "she enveloped him" (Same goes for engulfed). While I have no problem with crudity (as seen beautifully above) those two "en" words give me terrible mental imagery. "Enveloped" makes me think of a goo-monster absorbing a male and digesting him. Engulf... Well lets just say "She CLEARLY gets around" comes to mind. But I'm the sort of guy who rolls his eyes at any woman who refers to her vagina as "my flower". Ugh. God I hate high-school poetry.

I find the whole issue of semantics about how the sex happened to be quite fruitless. It's like when people specify "No.. I dumped HIM.

If I know a dominant woman and she is discussing vaginal sex, I assume she had her way. It goes without saying.

If you want to take the "penis" out of "penetrated", so to speak, perhaps the word you're looking for is "vagitrated."

I just think it's a little sexist to assume that just because the penis penetrates the vagina, that it's some sort of scary thing that we have to rename. It kind of inadvertently gives too much power to phallocentric thinking. It implies that there must be some sort of truth to penetration being inherently dominant(though I know the OP doesn't believe that). It's a well-meaning idea, I just don't really agree with it personally.

That being said... It's certainly cool/interesting that there are so many euphemisms out there. :-p

I always go with, "we fucked" or "we had sex." If I have to be a little more direct I use "I fucked him." But then again, I like the word.
