For one I believe that Semites are too wrapped up in religion, and I don't necessarily mean Jews, they are not the only Semites in the world you know.

Does this include the two billion or so Christians who worship a Semitic war God?

Bigger question? How does it feel to hate 2 billion people? Just wondering since you take every opportunity to crap upon them.

To the OP, the US is spoiled. Go wander the earth for a while and it is not just apparent, that fact slaps you in the face when you come back. Kill the economy, power grid, something along those lines and we as a nation are completely dysfunctional.

Course, we're about to manage that all by ourselves.

If Gore had won,at least one of the towers would have been saved as well as the Pentagon.

It`s very possible the whole scheme could have been thwarted, had bush not stolen the election.

To date, the perps got away(w/ 9/11) and bush wasted 4200 GIs` lives in Iraq(for nothing)and killed untold numbers of Iraqis and made Iran the region`s most powerful country.

And you`re thanking god for this?

Who`s side are you on?

Someday Owner, you really need to share your McFuture Divining Crystal with the rest of the world. It would save so much time.

I find it difficult to respond to this. You quoted kit who quoted me, so I don't know to whom this was directed.

If it was directed at me I have to remain assertive that I hate noone. Even those people I believe deserve summary execution, those who rape the land and the spoils of our wealth for their own personal gain. To not want to coexist with them is a logical choice and has no emotional undertones. Even crazed serial murderers and rapists, while I believe that they should be excised from society as would a cancerous tumor from one's body, I no more hate them than I would said tumor. It is just how they are.

It was a half and half term, sorry. The first part went to kittin, the remainder to the original post. The targets they chose were symbolic in many ways, but Bin Laden has a stated desire to wreak economic havoc. The world trade centers served both purposes. It was a symbol of many things he hates and the attacks were a blow to our economy.

Christians are meant to 'turn the other cheek' that is what makes them superior to the rest of us. Imagine if two million Christians moved their butt cheeks at the same time I expect the earth would move. Definitely one for the Guinness Book of Records. On the subject of turning cheeks how exactly does one rotate the cheek?

Rae, I am not a Christian. I believe that retribution for misdeeds should be delivered swiftly, painfully and when warranted, fatally. I tried to belive, but I was then torn between that and reality, I chose reality. There was no way in my mind to reconcile this. If there are really any true Christians out there they have been heavily infiltrated to say the least.

Yeah... Gore would have probably gutted the Constitution...
Or set up black prisons....
Or tortured people...
Or wiretapped the entire comm grid.
Or kept our troops without body armor
Or emptied the US treasury by assigning no bid contracts to the companies of "buddies"
Or gotten 4,300 of our troops killed with no real results.
Or wounded 35,000 more
Or killed 300,000 innocent Iraqis...
And displaced as many as six million of the same.

Oh, wait...

Let me tell you a little story about the cultural importance of the WTC.

We lost our skyline.  It was one of the most recognizable skylines in the world.  Now, when I see a movie set before 9/11, I tear up when they show the skyline.  When I went to CitiField, I got all misty eyed when I saw the old scoreboard topper- the NYC skyline with a ribbon over the towers.  When I drive into Manhattan I look for something that used to be there- so clearly and prominently.  For days after 9/11 I looked out my bedroom window and saw pillars of black smoke.  The WTC may have been a financial center, but it was also extremely important culturally and watching them fall was an incredible blow to this city and this country.  To the OP, I get what you're saying, but on this particular point, I disagree wholeheartedly.

But for what reason Dani ? Your point of view seem almost nostalgic, and there is nothing wrong with that, until you realize something. At any time the PTB could've decided that those buildings had outlived their usefulness and knocked them down anyway. So is it that they're gone or how they're gone ?

Notice how the buildings fell in such an orderly fashion, almost as if they were designed to. Well they were. Every structure has a finite life cycle, and key trip points (for lack of a better term) are provided to facilitate a controlled demolition. I also believe quite strongly that charges are placed within the structure for the same reason. It is easy to see why such information would be kept from the public, how would you feel if you found out that your desk at work was right next to a bomb ? This also explains the anomolies in the seismic data collected not only in NYC, but in OKC as well.

Years ago in Cleveland they demolished a multi story parking garage. It was old and probably built before they considered the final demolition in the design. It took them YEARS. Pounding and pounding away every day at thick, pre-stressed concrete and steel. It is easy to understand why they do this now.

My advice is to not fall in love with a skyline, or much of anything else. We lost our beloved stadium, not to terrorists, but to big money. The old Cleveland stadium was the place for a football game. Beer, piss and blood running down the floor, a bunch of drunks having a good time. Now that's going to a football game. Now you can't even smoke, and it's OUTSIDE ! This is ridiculous and you won't catch me dead there.
