I still haven't got past "If I don't hear back from you, which I would like"...
Many (not all) of us are sticklers for grammar. "If I don't hear back from you, which I would like" actually means, "I would like it if I don't hear back from you"
You don't mention anything about the person you are writing: her smile, her eyes, something she has written.
You don't say anything meaningful about yourself.
It's not funny or witty. (*I* have always been a sucker for those who are smart and funny)
Bottom line: personalize it a bit, let your personality shine through, oh, and, don't take it personally if someone doesn't write back. It just wasn't your time yet.
Good luck!

Really yes really there are actual studies that make the claim.  I didn't just make this shit up dude.  However it is not a huge leap to determine more time playing at the computer/xbox means less time playing outside and interacting with live ppl.

At least in the US the obesity rate has doubled in the past 20 or 30 years or some such number close to that.  I suppose you could blame the Parents, church, your social ineptness.  Or any other of the excuses you want to "blame".  Me I call it lazy.

Am I not explaining it right or is the concept that difficult to understand?

No BadOne,

You explained it right, some people just don't like the way it sounds.

I'm Fat and I know why I am Fat, And yes what you stated is part of my problem.

You have pulled irrelevant issues into a conversation that's supposed to be about meeting people online. Perhaps you turned it into an obesity topic out of personal disfavor or desperately seeking an angle you could wedge some bit of sensibility into your arguments, but it's completely incongruent to the OP.

Maybe you've found the magical studies that list physical inactivity as the sole factor in causing obesity, but it certainly is from no reputable source if that's the case.

And those people with desk jobs! What's up with them? Why can't they get jobs as canoe instructors or something instead of sitting in front of a computer all day? Oh, wait...that's right. They're not real people...communicating via computers and all...

The tortured logic you use to connect the two issues is what's difficult to understand. The only similarity between the two groups (people who meet potential mates online and obese folks who presumably have become so because of video games) is that you happen to like calling both parties lazy.

When did this thread go from being about the OP's profile to obesity?
Did I miss a memo or summat?

It seemed to be a natural progression from.

Stop being Lazy.

to

How is it Lazy?

to

Behind a Computer screen rather than out in the world meeting people for real

to

But I still want my Cheezy Poofs.

to

This is why so many americans are overweight sitting behind a computer screen

to

This Thread is about being Mad at Fat people because they are Fat and should get out from behind the computer screen and meet women in the real world.

Let me know if you need me to draw you a flow Chart.

I see there is no point in talking to you as your not listening sides it's way outta topic range.  I never said "sole" reason.  So you have a desk job that's a reason to eat fast food and not exercise?  I don't get why your so defensive about this?

Look at it this way around 3 million ppl live withing say 90 mins of me.  Maybe 1000 ppl on CM live within that range.  So if I get off line factor in kids, opposite sex, married and the like.  Let say that's 100,000 eligable bitches for me to choose from if I choose to get off my ass and get real.

Now CM 1000 ppl the around the same3 % that I roughly used before.  Works out to a WHOPPING 30 ppl.  Let say Im not even close and there are 10,000 ppl on CM that live close enuff.  A whole 300 bitches for me to choose from.  yea yea yea I know more TORTURED logic.

So get out enjoi the fresh air.  Go for a walk in the park, borrow a cute dog.  Conversation starter and get real.

*Steps away from the "fat and lazy" thing  and gets back to the OP*

I'm going to both agree and disagree with what Padriag said back on page 1. A well thought out form letter is ok, I suppose, but isn't too likely to get a response from me unless there is at least a bit of personalization that shows that the person actually read my profile. That said, some form letters are just asking for it. I was getting letters with things like "You are so beautiful" and "You have the prettiest eyes" even when the only pics I had up were from the neck down, lol. For myself, the best cmails are the ones that make me laugh. Making a humorous comment on something in my profile or something I've posted on the boards, even if said comment is just a sentence or 2, is much more likely to get a response than any form letter.

I will, however, agree with Padriag that the forums are a much better place to meet people than the other side. I've met lots of people from the forums in real time, and some have become very good friends. In fact, I'm spending this weekend with friends I first "met" here on the boards.
