does he or she get a "day off" or do you command the same level of service as when he or she is 100%?

I would think that the obedient and respectful attitude should always be there, regardless of the situation, but what about the more physical things? I'm talking about either the sexual or play activities or domestic type duties. If your sub has the flu or a stomach virus or something, do you let them rest/relax? Would you ever go so far as to serving them, for example bringing them juice while they're in bed in an effort to make them feel better?

No, my slave is property, it does not get sick, because I own it like I would a chair. I do not care if they have stomach flu and epic diarhreeah, I still expect it to do the dishes, mow the lawn, earn my money, and service me sexually....

O wait.

i am sub and i am at home sick and absent from work today...if i'm really sick i'm allowed to stay home, and if i'm not sick,i have to go to work or i get punished with Mistress' paddle with holes;one for every hour missed at work,and believe me i have learned that lesson the hard way. Also,if i'm not very sick ,Mistress may have me sweep Her floors,iron Her uniforms or run errands...She uses Her judgement in each situation

Trust me, I am not wanking at or dreaming about this! I know this would be reckless and probably make the sub even more sick or at least recover more slowly.

Speaking in the past, I deal with the fact that they're sick. That may mean taking some careof them, but mostly it' tended to mean "time off" from duties. Sick is sick, if someone is feeling so bad they can't give 100% they're not going to no matter how much you tell them to... and having them try can extend them being ill.

I'm both nurturing and compassionate, so my boytoy gets a pass on most responsibilities if he's sick. That's the domestic stuff.

With the kink, and the sex, I'll admit, I can be more unreasonable. My drive is very high. When I am "denied," it isn't pretty. Orgasms are one thing, but submission is something that requires my partner to be present and physically ABLE to do what I need. If I have to just put my urges on hold awhile, that's fine. But yes, there are some times that it's NOT easy, and I get frustrated. My husband is an athlete and engages in some sports that give him, on average, 2 - 3 injuries a year that make him off limits to me for a few days or as many as a couple of weeks. It's not fair for me to expect that he'll endure physical pain and/or humiliation from me when he's nursing a sprain or something nastier. If the timing of that coincides when I just am feeling SUPER femdom "frisky," I have to keep my urges in check.

Like all couples, we just figure it out. I have other outlets. If he was my only outlet, it would be more of an issue.

My submissive would get the same care and attention that I would expect if I were ill. Hey... I am... well... since I know being ill so well... he gets what I get on those days when I am not up to much. I am not all about service and getting something from my submissive, when I have one. I am about him and I as people and a couple and if he didnt matter to me, he wouldn't be there.

Besides... it can be fun playing the care I give him up in that he owes me! hehe... well not really, but it is fun to play with! When you are down and out... and someone nurtures you and loves you up... don't you love them just a bit more becasue they cared enough to take care of you? It isn't all about orders and service and it all goes in one direction.. to the dominant. It is about two.

When he is sick he is in bed and fussing because I am helping to take care of him. I tell him you cannot serve me properly if you are sick so shaddup and eat your chicken noodle soup! Once he is well we go back to things as usual. its very hard for him having me take care of him but I know when I am sick he will do the same for me so turn about is fair play, at least to me it is.

When my idiot #1 boy left a chicken salad sandwich on the coffee table for 4 hours while he "WOW"d, then ate the stupid thing, I spent 3 days driving back & forth to his apt. to tend him, give him sips of watery gatorade, clean him when he messed the sheets, wash & dry the sheets & remake the bed about 7 times, stroke his sweaty head & listen to him moan about how he was going to die. He was wayyyy too sick to put in the car & bring him to my home, so I drove.
Did I give him hell when he recovered? Oh yeah. I even used paddling to reinforce the rules of unrefrigerated food.

Yes, things are different here when he's sick. This post kind of made Me think of our first Thanksgiving as a family. It was our first major holiday after he was collared. I had worked all night the Wednesday before. I came home very tired to say the least. The rest of the family was already wide awake when I got in around eight o'clock that morning. All of them busy working on different dishes. I pushed Myself to stay up even longer to help out because I was so happy with the bustle in My kitchen.

I finally agreed to take a short nap around noon. When I got back up, most of the food was in various stages. The bad part was, clip had started not feeling well and was kind of a mess by then. The poor boy was feeling very ill, so he was put down to rest. He barely managed dinner, but was laid out the rest of the night. At least half of the holiday, he was on the couch, while I sat with him and petted his hair. It was pretty much over by the next day, but I felt so bad for him.

I guess the best way to look at your question, OP, would be to turn it around. If the Domme you were involved with were sick, would you expect her to play with you in the same manner as when she wasn't?
