You may not appreciate this, but I suggest that you broaden your search. You want a smartphone, which is a phone that acts as a computer. I am a diehard Palm aficionado, and love my Treo 755p. That said, you need to accept that NO phone will replace a desktop, but will augment it. Data input is simply too laborious, and the screen is too small. While surfing, only one window can be opened at a time. However, the ability to update documents in the field is wonderful. When I was looking for a home, I maintained a list of prospective homes in a spreadsheet. Asking price, sq ft, address, etc., and a comment field that I filled in from the phone when I saw the house. I also had the ability to take photos of houses I liked. Do some research on features and which ones you will want. You have already stated that MS Office compatibility is something you want (note - it is common to have read-only versions of PowerPoint that will not let you edit files from your phone). How about texting, camera, web access, games, email, to-do lists, calendar/appointments, contact lists? How about the coolness factor (The Treo fails this)? Palms are legendary for having good to-do lists, calendar/appointments, and contact lists.
