I have been ultra unwell.  I don't do unwell - well.
I am not 'ill'  just unwell.  You know the kind of thing.  Raging temp check.  Coughing check.  Sneezing and 'flu symptoms check.  Zero appetite check.  So I am sitting here, under instruction to not push myself over.  Darcy has been fantastic and today he has had to go away on business.  But I am not allowed to 'over do things'.  Hence my posting frenzy today.
.Eek.

This isn't a 'what can I do to remain focused' thread.  I'm not allowed to do sweet FA.  Well, within reason.  I have to pee sometime.

This is my first time on my own since moving in together.  This is also my first time on my own - ever.  I have never spent time alone.  I have either had parents, roomies(when I shared accomodation), friends staying or children.  They are away at their dads.  So it kind of sucks and I am sure I will hear every creaking floorboard tonight.

I have had numerous calls since he left and hit europe, which is so totally cool and he's instructed I eat well and keep resting.  So I am sitting here - with my blanket, and my honey and lemon (which is ripe and nasty btw), the image of rudolf(red nose not an option), feeling like poop, looking like I have just got out of bed with my fluffy socks on and I am in Darcy's shirt, a box of tissues beside me and ANTM (yeahso sue me - I think its cycle 9) on rerun.

Ah the reality of a slaves life.

No pets? If not...I had a weird half-joking idea about starting a pet-rental agency. I'm more of a cat person myself, but even I can imagine a new floppy-eared basset hound suddenly waddling around could bring hours/days of entertainment!

Until you have to walk him, I suppose...and clean up the poop...and...

Okay, maybe not the best idea for someone who's already ill.

Because of pets, I am never alone. But I do love being home without other humans. No television on, no one wanting anything, no whining or complaining or banging. I love it. But only because it is sooooooooooooo rare.

I am with you! I adore silence especially since the environment I work in is so noisy. I am off today and enjoying peacefulness, no television, no human contact, nothing but glorious silence.

Dark, I'm sorry your feeling unwell.  Aromatherapy always helps me in that respect. A nice warm bath with lavender really can elevate your mood and alleviate some of the symptoms your experiencing.
When I am lonely (I rarely have time to be lonely) I have a movie fest and watch an array of old movies.
Hope you feel better soon.

Oh dammit I am busted.
So Ok... I have pets, so technically I am not 'totally' alone.
But my birds have pooped on my favourite painting and are in the dog house at the moment.
And my daughters guinnea pig isn't the most social pig.

Bah humbug.

I always aw bless things like this. It seems such a paradox to me sometimes that on the one hand Sir will say 'on your knees bitch' and beat me, (kidding about the on my knees bitch bit but you get my gist) and then be so caring and over protective in other ways.

I'm just about to move into my new house (friday) and i have a bit of a problem. I sold all and i mean all my furniture when i left my last pub and having being out of work longer than i expected to be, have spent the proceeds on general living. I now have nothing - oops!!

Anyway Sir is majorly concerned that i can't sleep on the floor, i've managed to sort most everything else out. He lets me sleep on the floor at his occasionally but in my own home he's having none of it.

He's going away in a few days and is now desperately trying to sort out my sleeping arrangements before he goes - aw bless

I rarely have baths - no I don't smell -  I take showers.  But when I am sick, it's funny how you get into your comfort skin and thats all I want!  So the first thing I did when Darcy left is took a lush bath with a french kiss (thats a lavender, rosemary and thyme bar) - yummy.

I smell like purple!

Damn to all this slave self pampering.  I think I am letting peoples' fantasy down.

I think that is why I am watching ANTM... or is it coz of Nigel Barker? (strictly in the professional photography admiration sense of course).

Awe, now I am busted. I didnt know what ANTM was. I also enjoy taking pictures of empty spaces and myself at times, but that is because I am interested in orbs and seeing transformations over my face at times. I have a zillion ways to amuse myself, but at times it takes a lot of effort.

Don't worry. All of those creaking floorboads are probably only a mouse.

I'm the same . I usually take showers, but when I need comfort or feel ill a warm bath is a great comfort. Glad to hear your pampering yourself! Purple is good!

So sorry you feel puny.  This too shall pass.
Within a month or two of moving in with Sir i came down with the flu - fever , body aches, nausea, and felt like stink! I was so bad that it was all i could do to get off the couch to go pee - and i was sleeping on the couch because i didn't want to disturb Sir (i'm so wonderful  )  It took four days for me to wonder what Sir was eating - because i wasn't , nor was i cooking.  It took me a week to get back to work, and all through it Sir fed himself (yes, i  know - i didn't know he could!)   No laundry got done, no cleaning got done, but at least he didn't starve.

I felt much better when i could get Sir his coffee - i felt guilty every time he got his own, even though i couldn't have gotten it for him.  How silly is that?

edited to add - lemon and honey - i haven't had lemon and honey since i left New Zealand - it was my mums favourite remedy, and when my dad had it, it was a bit stouter than when the kids got it - mum would add a splash of whiskey to it.   Probably on the theory that the alcohol would make him sleepy and shut him up.

Do you mean to tell me that he didn't leave you chained in the dungeon while he was away?!

My goodness, what kind of reality is that for a slave?!
