so they updated the audition requirements >.<

prepare two contrasting THEATER songs from the 50s (one ballad, one up-tune/fast tempo) of 16 bars each.
 
Ok, so my mother's suggesting 'Maria' from West Side Story... and ideas on a contrasting 50's song I could take 16 bars from >.<?

Thanks angelikaJ, that helped a lot! I've decided that I'm going to do Edelweiss from The Sound of Music for the ballad, but I'm still looking through the various things for an up-beat tune *_*
