That's just the thing... it's a game of unequal enforcement to some, certain ones squinting at splinters who have posts in their own eyes.

This is about the party in charge, Democrats, using the power of the IRS as a means to silence some of their political opponents. Imagine the screams of racism and fascism and so on if a Republican administration began kicking the doors in at some of these Liberal charities or church groups.

Funny the IRS did pursue liberal churches during the last 8 years and I missed the outrage.

Besides, after word got out of the kinds of things that they preach at Trinity, the press has been locked out of the sermons, making it impossible for anyone to establish what is currently being said from the pulpit, as you demand.

That church has podcasts and video clips from the services.

Go here: http://www.tucc.org/index.php , and page down to the "links" section.  You'll find links to podcasts and videos.

Back in the day, a lot of churches kept audiotapes and/or transcripts of lessons given.  Even the Unitarians (Hillcrest/San Diego)!

I know...we should get rid of the 1st Amendment! We should just arrested Martin Luther King for preaching from his church in Atlanta...and we should've arrested all of those ministers who spoke out against slavery! In fact, let's arrest all of those Christians and Jews and Muslims and Buddhists who vote their conscience every election day!

i'm not familiar with religions that have political affiliations.  i'm also not sure with what is wrong with it?  OP, you have a political opinion obviously, what's wrong with a religion having an opinion?

It isn't a problem on its face.

There is however a history and over centuries when the church WAS the govt. and it has left a very sour taste in the mouths of Americans and others.
