It seems that many subs on here like bruises from their Maste/Dom. And i was wondering what is the big deal wth bruises? Is it like a badge of honor or it brings back memories of th night when you got the bruises?

As for me i have very fair skin and bruise very easily. (I even get bruised whan i have blood drawn.) My Master does not like to mark me so he is not rough with me.

So i am wondering why do you like bruises?

The bruises are a visual reminder of the time spent with my Dominant. They allow me to 'feel' the memory...

I don't bruise easily at all, I think that's why I enjoy them so much from him. When I look at that bruise, or catch a glimpse of it as I get out of the shower in the mirror, my mind wanders back to the moment when I got it and this lil smile crosses my lips.

I think that's honestly what it is...it's just another reminder that I belong to him, and that's something I love to be reminded of every moment of the day.

Maybe 'cause I bruise easily, then I'd never try to get them on purpose...my childhood&teenageyears is one big hospital until I grew a bit older and filled my accident-quota..(which I hope won't get empty anytime soon)
besides I generally don't find bruises pretty at all, they're just highly annoying.

Much like you, I am not a big fan of bruises. I barely bump a wall, and I end up with one whole side of my body bruised It's worse when someone asks me about them and does not believe me when I say that 'I walked into a wall" It's quite frustrating some times.

I too bruise easily.
But there is something deep inside of me that feels warm and fuzzy, loved and appreciated when I see even the shape of his hand on my butt the morning after.
I don't know if I could explain it any better.

I've always been fascinated with my bruises, poked at them, prodded them and enjoyed the changing colours. Nowadays they remind me of the misdemeanour i committed if i have them through punishment, or the pleasure if given in 'play'.
I bruise easier as i've grown older and they are a lot more harsh and long lasting. Right now my ass has black splodges all over it and they will be there for a good three weeks yet. Sir is away now for a week and a bit and they will help me to get through that week.

I can bruise fairly easy yet I also heal fast so any bruising I do get from rough play only lasts for 2-3 days before they are gone. I see bruises as a lingering reminder of the pleasure I had from a good session of rough S&M I had with the dim I had played with. Even though at the time we both are quite enjoying the session, the bruises serve as a pleasant reminder several days after playing. So far any marks I had received have been areas of the legs, butt and back so covering up when i public isn't an issue and I don't need to explain to non-kink friends.

when i was mainly with Daddy, i only got to see him every month or so. the bruises were a way to feel connected with him, to have a reminder that yes, he loves me and wants me.

now that i'm with TheEngineer 24/7, i dont get bruises often because he doesnt like them. i miss them, though.

It's like many of the others are saying- a reminder of the special person who gave them to you when you see or feel the bruises afterwards. Almost like a way to show the world someone cares about you, finds you worthy to spend time on. I know that sounds twisted but there you have it ...

Many of the Doms seem to enjoy giving them and I won't claim to know their feelings on that exactly but from what I've gathered it's a way of marking territory. They mark, we receive - same thing in the end as far as this discolored area of flesh exists solely because these 2 people spent time together in an intimate way doing something that is meaningful to them.
Kind of juvenile in a way but very powerful as well.

If you bruise easily then perhaps having them from many other situations lessens the personal meaning others get from having the bruises exist on their body only because their special someone put them there.

i have fair skin but i don't mark easily, especially on my backside though that's mostly a circulation issue brought on by my diabetes.. i do however crave the marks and the bruises.. Like most on here they are a reminder of the places He has taken me.. To me, His marks on my body are like footprints in the sand.. They fade in time, but leave a lasting impression because they were there..
Master loves to mark me and enjoys seeing my excitement and pride when i survey myself in the mirror after a long hard session.. Can't get enough!

yes my bruises are a mark of honor for the time spent with my M'Lady. the marks are a sort of a reward for the experience and obedience of my submission. as i no longer bruise easily it is quite something to have them now. for me the play is a reward for my submission to M'Lady.

I too enjoy having the bruises. It reminded me of Him and the time that was spent with Him everytime that I saw them or felt them. It always made me feel very good.

I love the type of bruising that give a hint of pain when you sit or move.
There was a time where I was taking vitamin E and that caused bruising very easily after I had been taking it daily for a couple weeks.

Okay. My own little take on this. Have not had a dominant of my own, so I cannot speak to that part of the whole thing, but . . . . . .

I like 'public' dungeons & play parties & I like to 'show off' what a stoic stud I am & bottom hard . . . . . I like the play itself, I like the pushing of my edges, but I also really like the showing-the-marks-off thing, afterwards . . . . . .

Well, there certainly is some element of the returning to the scene of the bite, for sure. I like the little nudges of pain I get when I brush my nipples against something and they twinge. It reminds me who I belong to. He rewards me with bites, when I am doing well, and "punishes" me with them when he sees need. Otherwise, it's a big shrug and an "I just do."

It's funny, I read this topic the other day and didn't post because I've never been bruised before in a session, but lo and behold, this week my legs are covered in bruises. The nastiest one was from a bite, and is the size of a credit card. I don't like them, but I'm not really complaining either.

For me they extend the endorphin effects. Not as deep as subspace, but a nice little rush that keeps me smiling.

Ok well honestly im into to pain so for me its not really that i like the bruises its more that i like how it feels when im getting them :) Buti know it makes my sir feel like everyone knows im his if that makes sense
